I have removed the tank on my mite. The sending unit is toast. Ordered an new one from D&L Bensinger. My valve is ok. I am worried about the integrity of the fuel strainer, and was looking for suggestions and or recommendations.

Being I have recently acquired a couple of mighty mite and some time in the future will be looking for one. My vote is to second what the others have said. You could restore it and sell it to buy something that will fit you needs.
