What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Wheels and tires finally all swapped out, changed the geared hub oil on all four corners while it was apart too. Even had a helper! I never even noticed the old wheels were the even spaced 24 bolt on one side and 24 bolts in pairs on the other.

Robbing Peter to pay Paul. Sidewall split on one truck about 100 miles from home last weekend. (Actually, it probably split about 70 miles from home and I was unknowingly driving on the run flat!). I'm working on another truck that has a nice set of Bajas on it that I was going to change out...

    Are these batteries any good...?

I didn't measure but they fit perfect in the plastic trays and top hold down. Maybe they're including the handles on the side in that 11.25?

    Are these batteries any good...?

O'reilly has 6T size batteries for $230 each, not too expensive and the same size as the originals, rated 750cca. You've got to call the store to order them, my store got them in a day. I put them in my truck that was running fine on a pair of much smaller 530cca interstate batteries so you...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Got my second delivered on Friday! 2 weeks and 2 days (with two federal holidays in there) to get it, first time EUC too. 1097A2. Listed as "ran when jump started but would not restart" so I figured no batteries, I sure was surprised when I took off the seat to find two new looking hawker...

    SF 97 Status

I bought a hmmwv on the 6/19 auction, mine shows "InProcess" under SF97 status. Is there someone you could email? My experience so far with an Army truck is its going way faster than I expected. Paid and paperwork done 6/20, EUC submitted 6/24 and approved 5 minutes later. Waiting on the...

    Plow mount from an H1?

Just to update this in case it helps anyone else in the future.. I bought the Meyer H1 plow mount. The holes are all there on my ECV to mount it, however the clevis that attaches to the plow would be too far back under the nose of the truck to work. So it will only work on non-ECV trucks...

No more tan doors! Going to spray one more coat on and let them dry the rest of the weekend.

    Plow mount from an H1?

Anyone know if a snow plow frame mount from an H1 will bolt up on a 998/1097 (or any of the short nosed/non ECV trucks)? Looking at the Meyer plow mount specifically. It looks like it would, my truck is an ECV though so I don't know for sure. I already have a Meyer plow, a bunch of spare...

    New HMMWV owner here

My experience was the shipping company didn't pick the load up until the last day before the yard was going to start charging storage fees. I assume the broker was trying to find the cheapest guy to haul it (which I can't blame them for doing, I'd do the same!). Congrats on the purchase!

Got my hard doors finally mounted! Took a couple months to find and get the flat doors. I'll paint them green this summer when its warm enough to go without doors for a week.

    Gunner seat belt removal

Got it out last night! PB blaster a few times over a couple days worked, the bolts were really rusty. Thanks!

    Gunner seat belt removal

Hi everyone - first post for me, every question I've had up to this point has been answered by someone else years ago! Is there a trick to removing the seat belt used by the turret gunner in the center of the floor? I can't get the bolts to budge, not sure if they were in with thread locker or...
