I used the CUCV antenna brackets on my M882, because I couldn't find the M882 antenna brackets in the Netherlands. It's not the original set up, but it will do.
I think that's one for a '76 Dodge which has the turn signals in the lower part of the grill, I need one for a '77 Dodge. By the way, also the lower part for a '77 is available in the Netherlands. But thanks anyways.
I would be looking for stuff that's hard to find overhere in the Netherlands and/or is very cheap now in Sösdala as they are closing the scrapeyard. But that said, the expenses of getting there in the first place (not only fuel expenses but also the toll bridges in Denmark) is spoiling the...
Hello Pah556,
Did you already get hold of the item you need? If not, you could try Sösdala Skroten as well. (http://www.sosdalaskroten.se/)
Probably you know this scrapyard as it is located in Sösdala, Sweden and it's an American car/pickup scrapyard, but if you never went there before, you...
Thanks, "shuvelrider". Holland Michigan looks great on photographs, I've never been there though. Quite some Dutch names around in that area. I never did the Nijmegen March, but a lot do, also military. It's the largest marching event in the world. Thinking of it, it would be great to have a...
Actually, I wasn't specific enough in how I used the ground strap. The grounding strap has a ring connector and I mounted this between the PL-259 connector and the antenna connector (I think it's a SO239 female connector) and attaching the other end of the ground strap to the body of the...
My M882 should have (but doesn't have) a battery tray on the passengers side, but I found these... first (blurry) picture is a still image from a video, second picture is from a Dodge M880 series manual: TM9-2320-266-24P. Hope it helps.
Looks very nice. Painting my rims black is on my "to do" list as well. The camo paint job looks good also, wonder how it will look like in Urban Camo colors.
I think the AB-558 with the MS-116/MS-117/AB-24 antenna elements will do just fine if you don't want to trim the antenna. I use this setup as well with my CB radio and my SWR reading is 1.3 which is not perfect, but it's well below 2.0 and works fine for me.
I use the Cobra 29 LX. Has a nice...
I used an AB-558/GR base with a MS-116, MS-117 and AB-24/GR mast section for my CB. I installed the coax directly with PL-259 connectors to the radio and the AB-558. As "papakb" already writes, the AB-558 mounts directly into the CUCV mounting bracket (I used this bracket as well). Also used a...
I've been lurking on these forums for quite some time and recently joined as a newbie from the Netherlands, but I can only agree with "WTF D00D". You guys are just great and very helpful.
There's some kind of comradeship amongst (and forum) Dodge (M880) owners overhere, but it's not a big...
Thanks Woodsplinter. I wish my Dodge came from the dry desert of Arizona. It's a constant battle against rust in our rainy climate. aua
It holds about 21 US gallon, but I'm only allowed to fill it up to 80% which is about 17 gallons of propane. This will take me about 150 miles before I've to...
Hi all, my name is Harald. I'm new here and I'm from the Netherlands in Europe. Of course, you all know where that is.
I've been reading these forums for a while now, so I thought it's time to join SS and become a more active member of the MV community.
I recently bought a 1977 Dodge...
