You're not alone, stud. I've been catching myself in that "when-I-was-a-kid" mode also more and more lately, that's the bad news. The good news though is at least we can still remember those stories (well SOME of them anyway), right?

That's a smart approach. And if I was smart I'd use my camera phone more to document the "before/ existing" components of a project before taking it apart and then later trying to remember how it all went back together. There's only one problem though with this idea: - I'm not smart. That's...

The Brooklyn Bridge is riveted construction I believe, and the Empire State Building, too. They seem to be holding up OK. I mean a B-25 flew into the one, and King Kong even played on it, and it's still standing.

Hoo-WEE. That is a WHOLE lot of time to be reflecting on the gravity of the situation, and getting yourself some real-time religion. That is one amazing episode, and I'm glad you all escaped it without incident. Wow.

Just being nosey, but can you recall about how much time (distance) there was from the time your buddy was: - Pushing that useless brake pedal to the floor - And recognizing that there WAS a runaway ramp?

My feelings for Jeepsinker (and both of you all), because I crushed my thumb once also, years ago working as a carpenter (alone, which was my own mistake). The thumb healed and works now, but it "ain't pretty" (it works though, and that's all I really care about). Life as an ape without a...

I like that parts cleaner. I cannot justify buying my own (just don't need it often enough). But I sure wish somebody like Lowe's or Home Depot had one in their stores you could use for a fee. How long do you generally leave something in there before it is "done"?
