    Yes, the outriggers are by themselves very useful. I have never carried a jack in the deuce, for example. The hydraulic outriggers will easily lift the entire vehicle and by blocking the wheels, the headroom below it can be increased by a foot or more for working. They have extracted my truck...

    6t/m refers to lifting capacity; 6 tons one meter from the pedestal, 3 tons two meters from the pedestal, 1.5 tons four meters from the pedestal and so on. Joel's is probably close to a 10t/m crane and mine is about 8t/m. Image shows the diagram for a crane similar to mine.

    So you are itching for something new and exciting. :-) Mounting the crane is not really difficult, but I wouldn't recommend a heavy model like Joel's, which would require a shorter bed and reinforcement of the frame. I can hardly imagine my deuce without the HIAB...mounting it on a trailer is...
