    Wreckerman's M927A3 cargo/tractor truck

:tigger: I took it out on a shakedown cruise this afternoon and it pulls great, much better than looking back and seeing that wagon wiggling around behind me. The only issue I have is under certain conditions the trailer will get into the tailgate slightly. One more inch back and everything...

Official 2014 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR14 thread

We'll be leaving around 5 Tuesday to allow the traffic to abate in Hotlanta. We usually spend the night at the Flying J truckstop at Exit 38 and arrive at the rally early Wed. morning. The circus wagon is about 70 percent loaded.

Official 2014 SS Ga. Rally buy/sell/trade thread

:tigger: I had dropside deuce and 5 ton beds but they are both gone. If (if your Aunt Freida had balls, she'd be your Uncle Fred) I sell everything that I haul in on the modified M927 I might consider selling the bed off of it and reinstalling the 20 foot bed when I get back. I just didn't...

    Wreckerman's M927A3 cargo/tractor truck

Today is fit and finish day. I completed bolting the 5th wheel onto the plate and the plate to the frame. Then I did some wire brushing and painting. I also secured the IV cable and air lines so they will move with the trailer when it turns. The rest of the day will be devoted to connecting the...

    Wreckerman's M927A3 cargo/tractor truck

:tigger: Because (whinny little beotch voice) I want something different. One thought would be to put slightly smaller tires on the axle and it would only contact the road if there was a heavy load on it. I've seen straight log trucks do this. Another idea would be to make it a live axle by...

    Wreckerman's M927A3 cargo/tractor truck

:tigger: I measured the outside to outside distance on the front spring hanger today and there is sufficient room to mount an axle back there. After looking at the number of airlines and electrical wiring that would have to be relocated to move the tandems back I figure it would be easier to...

Official 2014 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR14 thread

:tigger: Robo......you are probably a shoe in for the "Iron Butt Award". That's given to the person that traveled the farthest to get to the rally. There's no real prize but if you ain't careful Mike (SCSG-G4) will make you drink vodka with him. And also watch out for Papa Bear.....he...

Official 2014 SS Ga. Rally buy/sell/trade thread

:tigger: Now that's a creative way to keep them quiet. "GAS, GAS, GAS............now keep them on until you hear all clear".

    Wreckerman's M927A3 cargo/tractor truck

:tigger: Robo......if this is a permanent mod that is exactly what I have in mind. If there were enough room and if I had the skills I'd use a steering axle and have it turn like a HETT or PLS. I don't think there is enough room for a set of front springs to go back there so it would have to...

    SSGR14 Engine and Bed Swap

:tigger: For maximum effect all tool throws and fits of mechanically induced rage should be prefaced with " SON OF A BITC.............................!!!!!!!!!"

Official 2014 SS Ga. Rally buy/sell/trade thread

:tigger: I may be bringing two hard tops for a deuce or 800 series vehicles. They belong to someone else so price will be dependent on condition and how bad someone wants them.

    Wreckerman's M927A3 cargo/tractor truck

:tigger: The picture is somewhat deceiving. The truck is on an incline with the rear wheels in a small depression. It actually rides fairly level when it's on level ground. You can't put larger tires on the trailer due to clearance issues.

Official 2014 SS Ga. Rally buy/sell/trade thread

:tigger: If anyone has an M915 style battery box (top and bottom) for reasonable money (used in good condition is fine) I'd be interested.

    Wreckerman's M927A3 cargo/tractor truck

:tigger: I got the 5th wheel mounted today and backed under the trailer to check for clearance. The trailer clears the tailgate by a gnat's whisker in a sharp turn. Tomorrow I'll make sure the lights work and that I can hook the air up. I intend to make some extended jumper wires and hook...

    M931A2. Fuel prime

:tigger: What he said. I almost went blind trying the start that ^&(&&$*E wrecker until Wheelspinner PM'd me the skinny. No issues now getting one primed or cranked if there is fuel in the tank and the primer pump isn't sucking air.
