    Now that they've been in service over a decade it'd be interesting to see what the FD thinks of these trucks now and how they've held up. Of course they were new at the time and hadn't been abused by the military so they might have had fewer issues than we're seeing in the surplus trucks.

    Every time you tilt the cab give the fan a shake and make sure it's secure. The original style fan has an aluminum hub and mine sheared off at about 2500rpm sending the fan through the radiator. If it's loose, check to see if it's the bolts (and add thread locker to them) or if the hub is...
