    Wrecker people! Good deal?

In your case it makes a lot of sense since you have the support and logistics to make it a paying proposition. If the right deal came along I might get another one since we have 40 acres that need trees cut off them and the crane is an asset in it's self. Good luck and if you buy it post...

    Acquired Vaue

That's how I know some lucky stiff got a $288,000.00 PLS truck for $42,000.00. But I can't complain.....I got a M915 that cost Uncle $78,000.00 for 4 grand....and it had been rebuilt in 2006 at additional cost to the long-suffering American taxpayer. Man I love this country.

    Wrecker people! Good deal?

Some thoughts from the former owner of a money pit.......errrrr M816 wrecker. If it has the Cummins in it it will suck the bottom out of the fuel tank.....even running the crane will use a lot of fuel since you have to idle it up. With the multi-fuel you can at least use alternative fuels...

Need a standby genset what to buy ?

I bought a 10k diesel mounted on a trailer......it will run the whole house if needed but is way too much for just portable power around the farm. If you run too light a load on it it can "wet stack" and cause engine issues. For light loads I use the 5k gas burner that the Boss Lady got from...

    Saw a FLYING HMMWV today......

As long as it is connected to the chopper it is not in flight....just being vertically towed.......release the cable...then it will be flying......of course the glide angle will be steep and the landing approach will be pretty fast.

    Possum on the move

Well me and Elmo loaded up yesterday and did a turn and burn over to middle GA to pick up some trade goods.......we then rolled back to Alabama to attend a rally held by the Dixie Division of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association at the Confederate Iron Works at Tannehill, AL. The M915...

A 416 followed me home today

I remember pulling those behind an M151 in Germany when we didn't need a deuce for the supply run. I managed to flip on over on the Autobahn on morning due to it being loaded wrong. We had backed up quite a lot of traffic when several big German truck drivers came up and flipped the trailer...

Alabama Rally/Swap Meet DDMVC Nov. 5-6

I plan in being there with the M915 and van trailer. I may have an M66 gun ring for sale. I'll also have two NOS deuce right fenders, GA Rally t-shirts, and other assorted stuff. Will be camping out at the Flying J Friday night and be at the site early in the AM.

    Gov. Liq. questian

If you are that close my advice (I have bought over 30 trucks from GL) is to preview the one(s) you are interested in and on the day of the auction stay glued to the computer. Pick several trucks in order of choice and place the minimum bid on all of them as soon as the bidding starts.This...

GA 2011 Rally After Action Report

Mike (SCSG-G4) pays for the power and water that go to the MKT from the last two spots on our side of the campground. We have an understanding with DT that we can use those outlets during the rally. If DT thinks they will get a return on their investment I'm sure that they would accomodate our...

    CAT 7155 Manifold rebuild

It really PO's me that my buddy scrapped two of those trannys.....Jim got the shifters off them but most of the rest of the two trucks are on a slow boat to China by now. By the way....Jim is a stand up guy....I bought a 12 volt fuel shut off for my M915 by mistake and Fleetpride does not have...
