Pics of Trip to Jack's Gov Surplus

It would be sad if he is not dead and everyone is saying he is. Will someone verify it? I don't know the man or I would call.

    MKT Made it Home!

The Turkey Fryers worked great under the griddle. The we moved the griddle over and used them to heat up the pots and fry in the skillet. Works good and more common parts. Got them at Lowes. Had to drill new holes for the base to lower it just under the grates. It does get a little warm in...

    Fort McCoy Pickup

Is there anyone going to Fort McCoy in Sparta Wisconsin soon? I won a small GP tent and I would like to buy more stuff to make the trip worth while. If anyone could pick it up and store it for a week or two that would save me a bundle! I will help out in any way I can! Let me know.... Thanks...

serious discussion of 5-ton speed increase via gearing (transmission, differential)

We have this discussion in aviation circles all the time. I am guilty of it just as often as the next guy. We have a guy with a 140 Hp piper who wants to add a custom exhaust, wheel fairings, and all kinds of other speed mods. He will spend thousands to go 5 knots faster. Not worth it is my...

    MKT Made it Home!

Mostly for fun. First outing is in two days, so we will get a good idea of what needs what. My friends are brutally honest! They will point out all things that need to be fixed. I'm working on ideas for using different style burners in there. Any ideas from the experts or pictures? nopics

    MKT Made it Home!

It has two jacks, but one is frozen. No burners...sucks... The ice chest is in my garrage with all the the other plastic beverage and service containers. Looks like they were all there. No screens. Is there a wrench hidden somewhere for the jacks? I just used a socket and extension, but I...

    MKT Made it Home!

Here are the interior pics. I have pulled all of the plastic drink containers out for cleaning. They are all new with the packaging still on them. This was a Dec 2002 rebuild.

    MKT Made it Home!

0633 in the morning and I'm off to see the Wizard again. Back to back recoveries. Mkt is setup at the house, but I have to go and recover some tires today. No sleep for the wicked! Anyone ever convert to LP burners on the MKT? I am looking into the idea.
