    Well I've tried low gear with mode on ... no 4x4 ..I don't know exactly what to do ... can someone explain to me how these transfercases are constructed inside ... how do they transfer 30 percent forward and 70 percent to the rear ..and mode on becomes 50/50 is there clutch packs in there or is...

    Yes .. when you turn mode on it won't let it shift above 5th gear...if that's what your talking about?

    No. Since I grounded the ecu housing and cleaned and greased the connections under the truck , no codes...

    Well I looked in the small filter on the scavenge line and wasn't just a lot there but some small flakes and a few small shaving from some where cleaned it all up and, still no 4x4 ... if there is debris on the shift module can it make it do this ? Haven't had time to pull it off yet...

    Well put a ground from the housing to the cab and checked the connections on the Trans and transfercase also put a little bit of electric grease in em ... now, I have roughly 2.7 volts coming out the d pin and 2.6 out the c pin .. this is the little round plug on the transfercase ... anyone no...

    I believe so ... according to my volt meter in cab it about 27 volts +or -

    D1 - 13 13 is the only code I'm getting ... I cleared the code and it immediately resets when you drive.. haven't had time to slide under and check the harness and plugs .. as it is raining and muddy out... :(

    Hi fellas, newbie here , I've got a 1997 m1078 that I got thru my local rangeland fire protection agency (rfpa) . I'm having trouble with the 4x4 on it . I've got no 4x4 , I turn the mode on and doesn't make a difference. If I put it in the mud it spins the rear wheels and also the front drive...
