I bought a cheap 3/4 ton suburban with a 6" lift and swapped the axles and lift in to my blazer they had 4.10 gears. I think it would be a dog with the 3.08 and the 37" tires.
I had similar issue but mine was 1st gear when it was bellow 30 in the morning. I tore it apart and all the seals were hard from sitting and age.
$100 in parts and good as new.
I have a suburban tank from a 91 that i am going to put in my 1009 when i get some time. Was thinking about plumbing it to use the electric pump or the mechanical.
Well an hour here and their I finally got the bumper finished, painted and installed. I just need to figure out what I am doing with the license plate and paint the carrier and it will be done.
had a few min to work on it tonight here is what I came up with for a latch. I also have a secondary latch and stop to keep it from swinging around and hitting the side of the truck.
I decided to build a spare tire carier and bumper. Still have a few things to finish like adding a reciever tube in the bumper, adding some reinforcing plates and making a latch.
I used axles out of a 92 suburban front axle was bolt in used the lifted springs out of the suburban. The rear springs on the suburban were too long so I used blocks and add a leafs. All the break lines worked had to change my rear u joint napa had the correct one everything else hooked right up.
No it was bought private party here in Idaho had a bad motor and no bed but did have the dual wheels. It is my dads truck I helped him put a motor in it he bought from Boyce in Utah. He found a good civi bed and we are getting ready to paint the whole thing. It only has 50K miles and in...
These are the plates inside the door jam. What does it mean the truck was built as a single wheel and converted to a dually later? I'm not familiar with the 1028 trucks.
