Had a great time. Good to see some SteelSoldiers faces there... Clinto and GF, twright, JoeM62, SquirtTruck, and I know there were some more that I don't know their SS Handles for, so chime in if you went and what you were driving!
While we can't do three nights, a cabin is only a few bucks more than a hotel, and it's closer, too, so I'm going to call and see if I can't get one tomorrow.
I'm going to be going up Friday after lunch and staying at a Helen hotel, I figure that will be easier to manage than trying to leave at 5:00 AM Saturday and still have enough energy for the drive home that evening...
Evidently it was time to try somewhere different. It seems like we go on 2-3 year rotations... there were some politics involved too, I think.
Quite frankly I really liked the Alpharetta location as it was all of 3 turns and 3 miles from my house...
There are three possibilities for trail rides, as per Knox Herndon (who is organizing the rides, most likely):
1.A short trail ride through the park 1 mile
2. A 6 mile trail ride into downtown Helen from the park (Knox's pick)
3. A a two mile trail ride behind the Chatahooche River on...

Squirt- If I'm not mistaken, the trails are either on the campus of the resort, or begin still in the resort. I will double check.

From what I heard at the last meeting, it sounds like the trail rides really aren't geared towards us M-series guys... more for the jeeps and that size.
I'll take better notes this Saturday at the meeting so everybody gets on the same page.
