    Thank you all for the input,i will do a step by step with picture's,also i had planned on having the transmission rebuilt with all the upgrades. I have not put alot of thought about a shifter or take the colom from the donor vehicle,any idea's about aftermarket shifter's? thank's again.

    I'm wanting to put a aod transmission in my m1008,i have access to a 1982 suburban with a 6.2dsl, 700r4 and a np208 ,my queston is,can i take the trans/transf from the subuurban and put it in my m1008,i know i need the detent cable and brace,also the flywheel,and dipstick and tube,will this work?

    Just bought my first M1008,love driving this truck ,i'm sure i'll be looking for advice in the near future,have plans to make this a daily driver.Thank's for all the tech info so far.:mrgreen:
