Ok, I have an m1008 thats stock right now except for a set of ORD zero rates. Id like to put a set of the 37in radial hmmwv tires on it. Im wondering what size lift I need to get without having to cut the fenders. It gets used mostly as a daily driver/farm truck so it lives its life on gravel...
Im glad more people are doing this conversion. We finished ours about 8 years ago and have put about 15,000 miles on it and are extremely happy with the result. We did all the work and engineering ourselves, including the 4 wheel disc brake conversion because helitool didn't have anything...
I would look for one from the Dakota's, Montana, Wyoming, or some other western states because they rarely if ever use salt on the roads that I know of, and if your looking to actually drive it everyday like I do, look for one that has been regeared or has an overdrive installed.
