    Thanks guys!

    Window regulator

I need a drivers side window regulator for a 1976 M880. 77-78 regulators are a dime a dozen, but I can't find a manual regulator for my truck. Saturn supply lists one, but they don't respond to my emails. Suggestions?

    M880 plow truck

Last year I picked up a 76, and 77, M880s. The 77 ran, but very poorly and was rough. The 76 didn't run, but appeared to be in far better shape. The idea was to build a plow truck that would last me a few years. Thanks to copious advice, I was able to get it up and running. I'm winding down the...

    Rear axle clunk

I ended up picking up a military rebuilt axle, as well as a rebuilt transmission. Took care of the problem. Appreciate all the input I received.

DODGE M-880 series - Rebuilt Tranny and Rearend

How much are you asking for these items, what is the zip up there, and how much are you asking for each?

    Rear axle clunk

Well its been awhile, but I finally got a good look under there. The ujoints actually look good. I can't discern free play in any of the ujoints, though there appears to be everywhere else. There is a bit of free play in both the front and rear differentials, there is some free play between...

    BO and other lights

I'm not having much luck with may lights right now (76 m880). It might help if I knew what all of the BO settings are supposed to do. I'll state what I get on the settings and maybe someone can tell me what it is supposed to do. The TOP switch: BO Drive---I get front and rear BO markers...

    Differentials: open or limited slip?

Appreciate the replies. My understanding is that if a wheel slips on one axle, that putting it in LOC will allow the other axle to engage anyway. Is that correct? We'll see on the mileage. I am toying with installing an RV cam for more torque, keeping the carter carb--but with a better...

    Differentials: open or limited slip?

Still trying to figure the beast out. '76 M880. Did these come with limited slip or open differentials?

    Dirty fuel tank.

I did replace it, and the tank. I've parts truck and both the sending unit and tank were in good shape in it.

    Rear axle clunk

I assume my 76 m880 has a Dana 60 in the rear. The thing has a significant clunk when shifting between reverse and drive. Was this normally a fairly tight axle? I've a parts truck I could switch axles with (assuming it is in any better shape). I don't think I've the know how or tools to...

    How gutless and manifold exchange...?

My 76 m880 idles nicely (purrs like a kitten) and seems consistent at varying speeds, but it is rather gutless. I realize these things were never power horses from the factory, but it seems to me that the 318 should put a bit more umph out... My 90 k1500 and 96 f150 both totally put this beast...

    m880

I'm new to old dodges myself so am yet familiarizing myself with my m880, but trouble shooting procedures will be mostly universal. Do you have juice through the socket? Do you have a ground? Is a fuse blown? Connections good at all points? Does the sending unit work? etc... Just start...

    A few pics and comments...

Yeah, the back window is a bit thin, but is the clearest I've ever seen...lol The part's truck will be making a donation there. What is odd about the Alt gauge? Is this the gauge that is infamous for frying the whole cluster? I like alt meters. Is there a fail safe way to wire it in to avoid...

    Dirty fuel tank.

Now that I know my Beast will run fine, I dropped the tank. I would guess it had between five and ten gallons of the nastiest brownish-orange, sour gas in it! I pulled the sending unit and emptied the bloody fool thing out the best I could. Any tricks to get the remaining pint or so out? It...

    A few pics and comments...

Here's a few pics of the Beast. 1975 (according to the registration). It was a communications vehicle and think would be a M882...? I'm going to try to get it polished up and make it my primary plow vehicle. The parts vehicle below had an older Boss plow that someone messed up a bit. Welded...

    Best manual?

What is the best shop manual you have found? I've used Hayes, Clymer, and Chilton and all seem to have a fair amount of deficits. I'd like the most complete manual available (75 m880)

    m880 fuel pump

Guess that is Major Tom. I mistook your "rank" by seniority for user name. In any case, I did as advised and the new pump did the trick. Thing started right up and purred like a kitten. A wee bit of tappet noise, but it has been sitting for some time... It never occurred to me that the...

    m880 fuel pump

Great advice Sergeant! Niether point occured to me. I'll give it a shot.

    m880 fuel pump

The problem does not lie with the tank or lines in this case. As stated above, I've run a short flexible line directly from a container of fuel to the inlet on the pump. It has to be the pump or what runs the pump. The pump tests on the bench. Pumps are cheap and I will probably replace it...
