Howdy, It's Saturday and I am reading this message. I literally have the same issue as the fella who initiated this thread.
Replaced my fuel pump and couldn't get the the humvee over 35mph. Thought it was fuel related but it turns out the trans is not shifting out of first. The light on the...
Howdy all. I have been unable to get my HMMWV on the road and have been at this for almost 3 months now. I have been chasing issues both original to the vehicle and self inflicted since owning it and I am wondering if there are any mobile repair options available? I have an M1123 that I am...
As for knowing if anything else has been damaged. To that, I do not know as I have not attempted to start again until I found out what this did and had it replaced. I have fingers crossed I didn't take out my smart box.
I know that several members already replied with the technicals and specs for this diode and it's use. I will say my finding out about it's purpose was started on a forum about (AN/MRC-145A ) Comm trucks and they were explaining that this reduced "noise" which I'm assuming means electrical...
After much searching, this is a 12v Diode Semiconductor device. It started it's life as NSN 5961-01-180-5634, was renumbered a bit later to NSN 5961-01-593-3791. I'll continue searching SS to see if any of this info has already been discovered and posted. Until then, I found a site in germany...
Howdy all.
I'm new to the fascinating world of electrical fires on HMMWVs so please hold the chuckling to a minimum.
I was running jumper cables to my M1123 6.5 non turbo batteries trying to get it started. After the WAIT light went out, I flipped the switch to START and nothing but a buzzing...
Again, thank you immensely for going out of the way to help me understand MVD. The $31.9K was what I was hoping to hear they based your fee off of. I was told it was going to be the $200K that the Govt originally paid and that just didn't sound right. And that sounds like it's a one time...
That is great to know. I just assumed "multi" for a HMMWV meant jet fuels and different diesels. it never occurred to me that the military would request gasoline capabilities from a diesel.
Amazingly helpful information. I thank you for breaking it down for me.
I however now have a new question, (sorry)
The Vehicle use tax of $574.20 Do you know what MVD based that on and is that a one time fee because the vehicle is being registered from out of state (an impact fee as some states...
So it's 2/22 and I'm in the same boat. I am waiting for my EUC to clear. A "clean/clear" SF97 comes with my 2008 M1123. I contacted AZ MVD and what I was told is as follows. Did these things happen to you when you registered?
1) The taxes they are going to apply to my vehicle for registration...
I'm assuming this is old news by now what with it being 2/2022 but I had good luck so far with State Farm for my 2008 M1123. I got a quote that I will need to confirm with them because it was only $35 a month with the bare minimum on basic coverage.
Howdy Austin, James here in PHX/Casa Grande area. I'm new to the ownership of Military vehicles as well. (hopefully if the EUC clears) will be bringing home a M1123 HMMWV in a week or two. I'm currently searching the forums for answers to the hundreds of questions I have. This looks to be a...
