You know, if you really want to know what size tires it has, what it was used for, and help getting it off base, send a PM to FrankUSMC since he works next door to where these things are parked.... It's what I do when I purchase things at Cherry Point... :)
If it's like the ones that he...
With all that time you saved getting the trailer, you could have stopped by the house and gotten a drink...
Good looking trailer.
Nice shots of the stuff at White Owl.
If he doesn't, I would expect that Bernie might... He had a bunch of them at Aberdeen this year... I don't know if he is on this site or not, but I know that his buddy M35A2Kevin is (so you could PM him and have him check with Bernie...).
Good luck.
I just received an article on repairing the 809 series boxes from Wayne "papercu" that list parts numbers and suppliers for the pieces inside.
My understanding from reading the article is that the 800 series boxes didn't have an electronic circuit board in them instead having a plate with a...
I fried a control box in my XM813 the other day (not a big deal, AMGeneral was with me and we turned the knob on the injector pump and pull started it with the duece tanker and I made the five hour ride home no problems) and got to wondering who had them in stock for a good price?
I talked to...
Actually, they are surprisingly easy to setup. The deck is aluminum and the side pieces can be folded down (or up when you are storing the unit) easily by one person. Top has a pair of hand cranks (not part of the original design, but a later addition to the issue equipment for the units)...
The field ranges (the M59 "ovens") were removed and sold seperately... I thought about purchasing them (heck, I came real close to bidding on this MKT as well but I already have one...).
MBU's use diesel, the older burner units used gas.
Good to see that this unit went to one of the...
This is a great show. I've gone several years and always have had a good time. Usually park next to Steve from Statesville as he tends to ride over in either his M43 (with all that display gear in and on it) or his M109... Lots of tractors, small engines, and pickups in addition to all the...
I purchased a set of manuals on CD a while back that seems to cover every one from the 1.5kw 28v units on up to the 200kw 110/220/440 units made up through the early nineties... I want to say that I purchased it from Military-Media, but I'd have to pull it out and look... It was around...
RE: Re: Picked up my first deuce today...need a lil
Without knowing a bit more...
Brownish fluid dripping on knee-water, etc. that had gotten under the dash area that came out when you moved the vehicle? Might have taken a little time to move from where it had collected to the spot where it...
I had a feeling that was happening... Especially since I noticed that it was the same number for Ft. Pickett as for Ft. Lee... Richmond was going to be my next call, thanks for the POC.
I'll give Charles a call... I'm running late on making the appointment, but I was hoping to be able to...
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: How do you investigate this???
The fifteen minute rule on GL, and the ten minute rule on GSA just mimic a live auction... You know, the "Going, Going, Gone" that you get when we all physically go to an auction where we have an auctioneer up front looking for us to...
RE: Re: RE: Working on Ol
It's looking good. Great to see her getting some much needed TLC... :)
If you go with Strata Blue, we could have Tanner's Navy Grey, my USMC Forest Green, and Marcus's OD rigs in the Veteran's Day parade in Raleigh for more variety... Plus, it'd be a whole lot...
I've done a bunch of conversions using the kits that Ray fabricates. They are great. Very high quality of workmanship and wonderful customer support. Ray is headed back to Thailand at the end of July, so if you want to order a kit, you need to contact him ASAP.
Putting discs on the...
I've got a M101a1 over in Blackstone that I need to pick up (as soon as I can get in touch with the GL folks to make an appointment--thier voicemail has been full for a week...). I could help out with snagging this stuff when I'm up there for my trailer if the timing worked out for us all.
Congratulations!
I've got one that needs the correct front landing gear, but that is otherwise in pretty good, original shape. One other member in AZ has a really nice one as well... David Doyle did a nice writeup on them for MV Magazine a while back (part of an article on 1.5 ton trailer...
I'll second that Eddie is great to work with...and Eric can do wonders with the forklift... :)
I'm on base at least once a month picking up stuff from the GL yard in case you need any assistance...
The security guys at the truck gate are pretty easy to deal with, the ones at the car/small truck...
Re: M37 on 1100x16 XZL's
Yeah, I'll post them right
FWIW: The page on my site with the shots of BobK's truck both when he has visited and from meetings at the GC show his rig wearing the 1100r16 Michelins as well... Asside from the red paint job, his M37 is (or was until he sold me his...
