I have now put 1k miles on a set of Eco-Hubs and cannot say enough positive things about them! Cab noise is quiet enough for me to hear the voices in my head...saying "slow down"! Power and torque is waaaay within it's band again! It doesn't even feel like the same truck. I also have 3.07 gears...
@319cssb
I've had this Mog for 7yrs.
It was a 1990 Krankenwagon fully dressed when I got it. I didn't care about the weight...I just wanted something as close to "bear proof" as I could get.
I'm glad I kept it cause over the years I've seen the composite camper boxes opened up like tuna cans...
@flatwerx
What year M1078 are you getting? The A0's are more "mechanical" than their latter brothers and sisters having less computers/sensors to leave you stranded.(I'm sure you know this already)
I have both a U1300 camper w/ high speed axles+fast portal gears and a 1078 with 3.07+eco hubs. It's not apples to apples with these guys. They both have their pros/cons and they both are fantastic rigs. I've done a few engine mods to both trying to get to that "unicorn speed & mileage" which I...
I'm brainstorming a new dash for my LMTV and was putting out "feelers" if the Humvee stuff was using the same senders.
1997 1078 with no computers other than the transmission.
Are the Humvee and early LMTV gauges(fuel/temp/oil/etc) the same?
Do they use the same senders?
Spitballing a new dash and can't find any info.
Thank you in advance!!!
What am I missing? I'm on my 3rd manual cab pump. All of them leak out of the black plastic housing on the back within 10mins of installing them. All 3 have been "new" pumps from one of the "big box" vendors.
Anyone got any ideas on where to get a set of tubeless non 2-piece split rims for a MAN/VW 8.136? It's an 8-lug. I know I've seen a set of Hutchinsons beadlock rims somewhere...? Presently they the rims are 20x11
You can pick up a cheapo battery tester on amazon if needed. Your main concern is the ability to dial in the type of battery(AGMF,AGMS,Standard Flooded,Gel) and the CA/CCA just to give you an idea of what's in there.
Put it on a standard charger (2-10amp) over night. Let it cool off for a few hours and then hit it with 40amp for and hour and then let it rest for a while and check it. Do you have any way of seeing amp hrs on your meter? I never really trust voltage for telling the life of a battery. I've seen...
Ronmar...That's exactly what I was looking for. Thank you. I was thinking it was gonna be in the switch itself but I wanted to make sure before I tore into it. I was gonna solder in a diode on each side in the back if I couldn't find the source.
coachgeo...I tried the 12/24v plugs.
I searched with no luck. What am I missing? I cant' find the splice where the brake light and the turn signal wire join. Trying to separate them form each other. Thanks for any help
