I'll have to go dig for that other post. Give me an hour. Also, stand by on printing too much. There is a madness to the TMs I need to explain. I'll be back shortly
If you review post #83 you will see that I clarified that it was the webmaster of the civilian parts sales website that got it wrong. I've included the post below for your review. As far as why I'm in the HMMWV forum? Yes I have a CUCV amongst other things. The real reason I'm in the HMMWV...
It's been done a time or two. Michelins, Goodyear G177 Firestone T831 and NDTs. For an even cooler arrangement, use 14.5X20s on A3 rims in the front and dual 11;00 Michelins on the back.
Who made the data plates on the HMMWV? Hmm, I think that was AM General. Funny, like the manual, there is no mention of "A0" on the data plate. As a matter of fact, there is nothing official related to any of these military trucks that has "A0" on it. No data plates, no manuals, no PS...
I agree, but "A0"showed up on the AM General website which was my point to begin with. Wouldn't you think that since they make the darned things, they would know? I've had dozens of MVs and not a single one was marked "A0" on the data plate. I'm convinced that "A0" only tends to confuse folks...
Still, "A0" is a made up term. Before this imaginary term came to be there were just M35, M35A1 etc. I know that A1, A2 ect mean updates. Folks should know that too rather than making stuff up.
Gimpyrobb had like 40 billion 3546 filters for the FM100 bases. I have a dozen or so and nothing to put them on. I had the FM100 base in my ambulance but sold it. I have extra bases but I can't find them, Still need to do the base swap in my SECM.
Go get your truck! This dude might be crazy. We can walk you through your GP issues but DO NOT leave it at the shop where it's at. Also, don't use that starting fluid at all, but in extreme emergencies, after the glowplugs are unplugged.
This is great. At one point long ago, we had a members map and folks would post up what type of equipment they had and what they could offer. Often times members post up their long trips with MVs so folks along the route can make themselves available. Glad to have you step up for the benefit...
I think there are only 12 or 13 spots there so if you reserve a spot, there will only be 12 others in the field with you. Just because one rents a cabin doesn't grant them access to that field.
Ray, obviously they can't except when we do night trail rides..
It's a fine place to learn. Depending on what vehicles you have or are interested in, we will likely have the tech manuals for them. Makes for a good start about learning operations and nomenclature
