On your 1078 there will be a single solenoid. On the 1088 I parted there was a paired solenoid. If I can find it in the garage I'll snap a picture.

Being that it's a wrecker I'll bet early beacon mounts.

Well a little update, I finally got a chance to take the truck for a drive, and with the HP increase and now the 3:07 gear sets it is a blast to drive. The trans seems to REALLY like the gear swap as far as shift points etc. I also got to see just what a difference the locker in the rear axle...

12v comes of the battery closest to the front of the truck negative terminal. Yes positive is drawn from that negative terminal.

Be on the road about 6:30. Arrival expected about 12:45. Can't wait!

Well the tan cans didn't make it here. I will only have green, but all are new Scepter cans.

I had this problem with mine. The plug in the back of the dash keypad was loose. It took like 10 minutes to check and fix it. Less time than a tow hookup would take. Seems like a worthwhile look. Also does the truck have batteries in it or are they starting with a jump? No batteries = no 12v...
