Any chance you can get a measurement for me? Just wondering what the distance is from the top of the engine cover to the top of the hardtop. I need to see if it's enough clearance to get in my garage. The cab soft top frame just clears the top of the garage.
I will definitely keep Mark in mind should I get rid of the blackout light. Presently I do have plans to mount it to have dual blackouts. I've tried driving with one blackout and wasn't sure it was even on (it was on, but old eyes have troubles seeing).

M561 Steering Column, Air Filter, & Misc M561 Parts Lot
I was draining my steering box out last week. I decided to spin the steering wheel from one side to the other to get any stubborn fluid out of the box. Upon doing so, I noticed there an audible grinding in the steering column. It was a...
Bumper Auxillary Driving Lights and IR Lights
I wasn't going to do this project but I had these four NOS lights hanging around the garage. I decided to put them to use and mount them to the Gama Goat's bumper. I thought about mounting them higher but found the aluminum panels would probably be...
Armored Dome Light and Passenger Dash Grab Handle
Had a couple boxes dropped off today to help accessorize my cab. I've been wanting some sort of interior light and grab handle for the passenger side. I looked and I looked and came across of pic on the internet of exactly what I wanted. I am...
Air Line and Hydraulic Line Metal Tubes Smashed
Today, I went out to look at the soft parts on the Goat. I was paying particular attention to the hoses between the tractor and carrier unit. The hoses didn't look too bad. As I inspected them, my attention was drawn to the metal tube lines. Looks...
Secured a few more parts today.
With the stormy weather and lack of outdoor chores, I bought some more maintenance parts. I figured I'll be getting some more garage time so it's time to tackle those projects I have been putting off. I've got to get more parts like a master cylinder, flex brake...
It is almost the same pin. The one I used is a bit shorter but the same diameter. Good eye Peter!
Yah, I was a bit disappointed when I saw the invoice. However, it was quickly offset by the fact they had a pretty rare part in NOS condition. From what I've heard, that radio mount riser is RARE...
Radio Mount Riser, Mirror Arms, and Mirrors
As Christmas bears down, I can't help but feel a little guilty getting boxes on the porch. My poor kids think they're Christmas presents for them. The looks on their faces brings guilt when you tell them they're Gama Goat parts;-)
Today I got a...
Transfer Case Gear Oil Peep Hose and Air Box Drain Hose
I bought 2 feet of 1/4" I.D. Fuel/Gas resistant hose to replace the very aged hose on the transfer case. After I got my Goat home, I drained all the fluid in the truck. As you know, if you drain the transfer case, you've got to re-prime...
Driver & Passenger Seat Frame Quick Release pins MS17989C614
When I got my Goat, it was missing one of those quick release pins for the seat frames. For some reason, I was unable to track down just one pin for a decent price. I found one pin but the fella wanted $26/pin. Then I found a listing...
Tail Lights Inop...
I removed my brake light lenses to get the part number off them to replace them. I quickly figured out why my tail lights are inoperable. The port side is worse than the starboard. Though the starboard looks OK, the bulbs are completely rusted to the sockets. Looks like I'll...
Ever wonder what's under the passenger seat panel? Nothing but space and grime. There was a huge accumulation of sand, oil, grease, organic material, and unknown material. It was about 1/4" thick. I just used a plastic scraper and got all that junk up in short order.
