Thanks all. Your correct; once its gotta come apart, might as well check it all. Good side: get new parts:mrgreen:. Not so good side: got to find a shop to do it:sad:. Any big truck shop should be able to tear it down and rebuild it, shouldn't they?
Pretty sure this topic has been covered, but I'd like to get some additionaal expert opinions on a leak on the rear-rear axle. Black thick oil has begun slowly creeping down the inside of the rear inboard wheel on my '72 M35A2. I'm assuming it's the inner seal but I'd appreciate any opinions...
Sounds good, I'll keep my eyes open for some. I forgot to mention it, the Maxwell cans have handles. I plan on the bungie cord going thru the handle down to a convienient spot (mirror strut?)
Current weather here in Laramie County..blizzard, from the north. Deuces are parked nose to the west. Exhaust pipes, uncovered, make GREAT snow scoops. Started them up and had a geiser of muck explode out the top...quite entertaining. Now, I think to myself, how do I keep that nasty white...

Pics wouldn't come out, tried different angles, too small an item, too cheap a camera:-(. Thanks for the link! Now I can check the levels with the "correct" tool:smile:
There I was cleaning out the back of the green Deuce, when low and behold I found these two square metal doohickeys. I cleaned them up and they have the following part/NSN numbers:41-W-1962-100 and FSN-5120-708-3302. Not sure what they do, they look precision made and are the exact same...
I'm in Cheyenne. These are my first "retired" MV's. Plan on spending time getting one running good enough for trails.. Just started a new job so might be next summer before I get to REALLY play. Will keep in touch. Glad to know there's more in this state that have the MV disease.[thumbzup]
Just bought two M35A2's in the next town over. In WY all you need is a bill of sale to move overland. Gonna be intersting as it's a 50 mile trip to bring them home, one at a time. Wonder what the HP, Sherrif and city police will do? Should be fun, regardless.:grd:
