    Swollen glow plug removal

Great news. Keep everything else operating as designed and all should work well. Get into long cold cranks and hard starts and that is where all the trouble begins. Good Luck.

    CUCVRUS Repair Projects

Did you ever have one of them weeks when everything that could go wrong has gone wrong? I am thankful for my ability to repair things and get them running again. I took 3 days off of work. I rented a stump grinder Wednesday to grind 3 big tree stumps out of the yard. I went and picked it up and...

    Hex Bolt

I was outside fixing everything that broke and blew up this week and I located the 3 bolts from the injection pump timing gear to pump flange. Do you want them? Send me an address. They are genuine GM CUCV mil spec bolts. From a CUCV. I still have them in my cup cake tray. Laugh but them trays...

    Swollen glow plug removal

You should be golden. I have used nothing but A C Delco 13G glow plugs for over 25 years of private ownership. Did I have any failures? Yes. But nothing I couldn't handle with a vise grips a prybar and a set of forceps. I have removed steering shafts, Inner fenders on both sides and a lot of...

Disconnect the speedometer cable at the tail shaft of the transfer and take a drive does the sound still exist? Now hook it back up to the tail shaft again and go for a ride. Any sound? If not the Speedometer head unit is bad and they are easy to come by. Good Luck. Report back. It is just a...

    tree vs. cucv m1008

I think back at all the Chevrolet trucks, Blazers, Suburban's I seen wrecked back in the day when they were a year or 2 old. Many that were wrecked like the one you have pictured were scrapped right there. I worked at a GM dealer and they scrapped a lot of vehicles that were hit hard on frames...

    tree vs. cucv m1008

You can use a 2WD frame. I have converted a few 2WD trucks to 4WD and the frames are the same. I used 3/8" and 7/16" bolts to attach all the spring hangers. That frame pictured is NOT repairable. Even if it were put back into alignment it would be very weak and have numerous stress cracks. A...

Down to the frame she goes!

How about an M1010 body? Cut it down and make a flatbed with hinged sides. Very strong framing. And aluminum.

    CUCVRUS Repair Projects

it is a 1994. It is the B7100HST. It is 4WD and if it had AG tires I would go off road more often. But I must say these little tractors are built well. Everything fits perfect and it is so simple to work on and maintain. So 26 years old in June. Thank you.

    Looking for suggestions

Suggestion number 1. If you are that far down remove everything from the frame and have the frame sand blasted, primed and painted. And then paint every part that you put back on the frame. Take your time and make it count. Or complete the truck and drive it thru the biggest mud hole you can...

    Don’t know Glow!

Beats having to bench test. Unless as I mentioned the tip is not heating up and the shaft is heating up. I seen it more then once. I don't just try to work harder I try to work smarter but still looking eyeball to object is the best way. Ever wonder how they can take a picture of Mars from earth...
