    MEP004 to run a welder

Yes, generator is 3 phase only, and so is your welder, so they should pair up well together.

    BEOD Mounting

There were recently 5 of them sold on GP from the local yard. No idea if or when any more will make it to sale, as it wasn't a very high volume item for the Army to begin with (my EOD buddy estimates maybe 500 were made total). From the outside it looks almost identical to the larger contact...

    MEP004 to run a welder

the 60% duty cycle is if you have the welder turned up to higher amperage, then you have to stop and let it cool down once in a while. If you run at or below the 100% duty cycle rating you never have to stop welding. The MEP004 should be 15kw at 60hz, the 400 Hz machine uses the same engine...

    MEP 802A / 803A Gov Auctions

There were more than 50 of them in my local yard when I was there a few weeks ago, mostly 803's.

HMMWV / M1123 Random Brackets - help me identify

I didn't see those particular pieces, but I had a bunch of random brackets, bolts, and plates all over the truck. My guess would also be part of the armor kit that was removed.

No windshield M1123 - what parts do I need?

That seems like a very reasonable price. I know with shipping I spent $210 for the 2 pieces of glass, and my total for everything was probably closer to $350 or $400 with everything shipped (I have 8 extras of the top retainers though, it was cheaper to buy a 10 pack on ebay than 2 individual...

    BEOD Mounting

I just got mine on today. in my truck there were 2 holes in the correct location for mounting the beod, several inches towards the outside of the truck from the tie downs. The soft top I have on is just a standard 2 man soft top, where the velcro strip is that would connect to the soft top...

    BEOD Mounting

Did you remove any of the tie down points inside the bed of the truck? Looking at mine it's hard to tell whether they need to be removed or if the unit's frame will sit on top of them. The reason I ask is because just looking at the front mounting brackets, it looks like they are just the...

    BEOD Mounting

I'm just about ready to install mine. It looks like the holes for the front brackets will line up, but in the rear I will have to drill 3 holes through the bed to bolt it down. I have 2 1/2"x2" aluminum bars with holes drilled in them to clamp it down to the bed and frame. Mine is the 1123...

    What year is it, REALLY?

The serial doesn't really mean anything on these trucks anyway, nor does the age matter much. Going by the model number and any MWO tags on the frame are all that really matter.

Lone Star Drift - Youtuber with Humvee vs. Jeep

Basically you apply the brakes a little bit, then use the throttle to overcome brake pressure. The friction from the brakes makes the torsion diffs lock up and act as a solid diff. If you are in high lock or low gear in the transfer case all 4 wheels should spin equal amounts. If not for...

    Just purchased 99 m998 and can’t start

Looks to me like the power supply cable for a radio. If you don't want it, send it my way :)

Lone Star Drift - Youtuber with Humvee vs. Jeep

Driver needs to learn about BTM Edit: reading the comments, the driver apparently knows about it and uses it some, but says it isn't working much in the rear.

    Run flat question

for the 16.5 inch rims, the shoulder is at a different angle than most people are used to, it's designed to use a run flat to keep it centered and retained. Without the run flat there is a chance it can come off. If you don't want to use the run flat there are some people making bead lock...

    What year is it, REALLY?

What is the new VIN they gave it? Most of the time when they put on a new data plate, they retain the original VIN. I know mine was rebuilt in 2009 but still had a VIN that put manufacture date in 1999 or 2000. (if you don't want to give us the whole VIN at least do the first 3 digits)

Upgraded running lights work great except in one specific scenario

Normally you would want to start a new thread for any issues you are having with your vehicle so we don't start cluttering up existing threads with information not directly related to the initial post. (but yes, it could very well be as simple as having to replace the bulb in the turn signal...

    Voltage Regulator Dead?

It's supposed to keep the rearward battery charged up. I think what Retiredwarhorses meant was it's not to be used to directly power accessories, it needs to be hooked to the battery to act as a buffer for any 12v accessories plugged into it (still limited to less than 50 amps, and still...

    Unicorns are real.... NOS MEP-802A

And I thought I was pretty lucky to get one that only had 10 hours on the clock. Then again, mine had a bunch of bent sheet metal from something being dropped on it, but otherwise a clean 2009 unit.
