Dude, with a loaded trailer I go 25 MPH up Cajon! No worries, turn the flashers on, slow down and enjoy the scenery. It takes us 4 hours to get to Tehachapi from the 210/605.
I have thrown a few hundred through mine...gotta say, SWEET!! Just gotta be careful of the enblock, it will hit you in the noggin but it sure makes a nice sound!
HEY, hole, was that fire directed at me!!??
As for the 113 variants, the pads are also changeable. There are two different track designs for them. The early style is hard to find. All of the ones out here at the Museum are early style. and some are in need of replacement. What do you think it would cost to make replacement pads? If you...
Adjust the top ones all the way in. Get a feeler gauge...010 IIRC and get that clearance at the bottom. Go to the top and adjust there so you have the same clearance. Spin the drum and see if it drags...it will...give both a slight adjustment to stop the drag. Do the same on the front...or rear...
I know when it is cold here...35 or so...I know, I know, you east coasties don't think that is cold, but it is for here  Mine is kinda slow to start. If I use the flame heater, it starts and idles fine when the switch is thrown and if I let off it idles funky 'till I throw the switch...
The cut on the fender just says that the truck started life as a N/A engine. The early M35A2's were N/A and had the exh out between the passenger side duals and had the LD465 When they were converted to the LDT465, the fender was cut for the stack. The M35A1 had the LDS427-2 and had a low exh...
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. If you catch the leak soon enough, the clutch should be OK. If you continue to drive it and the disc gets soaked, a new clutch will be in order. If I were there doing a rear seal, i'd do a clutch at the same time unless it looked like new when it was taken out. I...
It is in the intake. There is a fuel line from the low pressure side of the IP across the engine to a small injector and a glow plug right next to it. At the top of the pages here is a tab labeled "resources". Click it and go to the TM section. Download TM9-2320-361-10. That manual will give the...
I guess it about time to start thinkin' about it! I figure the same spot as last trip. This time, more wheeling and less shootin'! We have a good BLM/Private range this year!!!
Who is up for it??
Teaser pics!! I'm sure there's more, post up guys!!!!
Did a bit more work a week or so ago...I got busy planing a dez trip for New Years!
Got the track tensioned and got the track turned around so the drivers side can be worked on.
Went through the process again of raising it, removing the tension from the track, pulling the track, removing the...
Well, guess it isn't ALL the cats fault. I was gonna re Canvac it this next summer. Guess he decided he didn't wanna smell like new canvas! It has been on the truck for 3 or 4 years now, too weathered to sew. Bad news is it's gonna start raining here in a few weeks. Gotta get ready for Dirt Bag!!!
OK, so we are getting ready to leave for the new years dez trip, I decide to take some stuff outa the deuce and lock it up since we will be gone for 4 days, as will the neighbors. I grab the stuff I want not there, and go back into the garage. On the way back out to the truck, my cat, Simba...
