I want to get a Deuce.

Learn how to drive a car first. Your insurance will cost you more than the truck.

Jerry Can Strap: What is NSN on old one?

I don't think I ever remember any can mounts in the military ever having two straps, they always just had the one running through the handle and that's it. I don't ever remember any of the cans ever falling out either, at least with a good strap on the holder.

    deuce tool box removal.

You also can drill through the head of the bolts with a bit the same size as the threads. Nothing is usually easy to remove when it come to the body bolts and nuts, they're usually rusted unless it's a southwestern truck.

    Mixing WMO & WVO, recommendations?

I have aquired about 25 gallons of WVO and about 70 of WMO and I'm planning of filtering it to use in an M35A2. I'm still accumulating it as well. I've tried looking up any previous threads on the subject, but really couldn't find any that answered my questions about doing this. First off, I...

Anybody interested in steps for a deuce?

They would be shipped from 43061 (Central Ohio). I don't know the weight, but I don't think shipping would be too much. I just may get a batch of the plain ones made and go from there.

    in tank fuel pump plugs

Those will do Gimp, but let me know if you see a left fender that's available. I just wanted one local (Ohio) so I don't have to pay a fortune in shipping.

    in tank fuel pump plugs

No, that's exactly it. (thanks Jason) It would be nice if they had them already wired, but that's not a big deal to crimp a couple of ends.

    in tank fuel pump plugs

Does anyone know if anybody has just the electrical plug end for the in tank pump on the deuce? Mine is pretty ragged, but I just need the plug end, the harness is ok for now.

    Downshifting question

If you're going down a long steep grade, you MUST downshift. If you lose your brakes you will have no way of maintaining control of your speed. Those "comic" books did on occaision post bad info.

    Busted Cam Shaft

That must've been a hella big street sweeper!! I've never seen a tandem axle one.

Anybody interested in steps for a deuce?

Okay, I just talked with the guy. It would be about $80 a pair for 1/8" steel diamond plate, and $60 for a pair of plain 1/8" steel. I'm going to work on a way to make the "dimples" like the OEM steps. These are much thicker than the original so there's no need for the reinforcement angle...

Anybody interested in steps for a deuce?

No, it's the ones for the driver and passenger doors, sorry if I wasn't clear.

Anybody interested in steps for a deuce?

The steps below the cab doors.

Anybody interested in steps for a deuce?

I have guy at a machine shop giving me a price to make some new steps for my deuce. I asked him to use a heavier gauge steel than the original. They'd be the same size, but they might not need the angle reinforcement on the bottom, which is where they tend to rust out anyway. He's also going...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I put on a set of new tail lights, they still don't flash, so I think replacing the flasher unit is next on the list. I also started putting in bolts to fill the holes in the back of the cab where those reinforcement plates are, and got stung by a friggin' wasp. I sprayed the nest, which was...

    Body Bracket

I plan on using mine for a flag mount or for a rotating beacon. If it were on the other side it could be the base for a cup holder...

    20# C02 tank

Those are fiberglassed wrapped ALUMINUM SCBA tanks. You'd have to know someone with access to a compressor to fill those. They are most likely 2216psi, but could be 4500psi.

    2013 Fall Haspin Rally

Sounds like a great time! I may be moving my daughter down to start college that weekend, so I don't know yet. If I can, I'd like to even drag the wife unit down. What kind of cost is there??

Camp Grayling Centenial 20 July 2013

The last time I was there, they still had the sign out front with patches from a lot of the units that spent a lot of time there. My old unit, the 73rd Infantry Brigade still had it's patch there, even though it's been deactivated for quite some time now. Had some good times at Grayling (and...

    2013 Fall Haspin Rally

If it's over 3 days, I'd most likely be able to make it at least one of those days, maybe even for an overnight. Where exactly is Haspin again??
