The trucks that have been rehabbed don't have the year on the plate, I compared my serial number to other trucks that had a date and was able to figure out mine was an 84. K5 I am about 40 minutes south of Anderson and my nephew has a 931 and lives just north of Knightstown.
I was not able to register my 1984 5 ton as historic because they told me that it was to heavy. The heaviest historic plate in Indiana is 11,000#. When I had my Deuce they allowed that truck, they said it was close enough to 11,000#'s. I personally have a CDL but plated my truck at 26,000# so...
machinist I can't find my receipt but I just took the actuator parts with the O-rings with me to Napa and he had a large box of different sizes and we just matched them up.
