The tach I have in my HMMWV is located up high near the windshield wiper motor.
It doesn't have a factory option for lighting it. It uses a 3 pin I believe cannon or military connector.
I read someplace that someone modified theirs to add a light .
A lot of people have used non HMMWV tachs that...
First off I appreciate the forum and all those that do their magic to keep it up and running.
So please don't take this wrong. perhaps it's still in flux ??
With that said I'm not real crazy about the look of this new format.
It's hard to tell old posts from new posts
Every section has a picture...
I drove mine with the loop bypassed for 8 plus years.
It all depends on how much you drive it and for how long.
If it's low on fluid now I'd crawl under it and bypass it before adding any fluid.
Wait !! your relying on 4 self taping screws to hold a bench seat and passenger's to your truck?
I have to ask what the seat belts are held on with ? Flex tape? Gorilla Glue ? maybe Velcro
or maybe no seatbelts
I should qualify my post by saying that when ever I'm planning on driving my HMMWV with either a M2. 50, MK-19 40mm or the minigun up top I let the local LEO's know ahead of time.
I try and be very proactive so as not to shine un wanted attention to me or other fellow retired military vehicle...
It still won't have any rollover protection even on a short drive!!!
The floor is aluminum so unless your adding some kind of backing plates under the floor or fastening it into the cross members there isn't much to secure the seat too.
I would strongly suggest not to install a bench seat.
As...
sure your new batteries fully charged.
All the grounds good and tight.
You disconnected batteries before changing out ESS?
All the connections tight?
You change out box with same kind you removed?
I personally have never seen any like that.
To me they kind of look like something improvised in the field.
maybe Steve (RWH) or Greg (86Humv) can give you a better idea
pictures of doors would really help.
are they flat or have a slight arch / curve to them
What do the hinges look like and how many per door?
standard kind, piano type
