    Flu419 Tire Options

I have blown my old tire and trying to source tires locally (Alaska). Shop has the following Ag tires available. Anyone have any experience running AG tires this size. 14.9LR20 (375/75R20). I have stock rims on a dic brake unit. Load range and rubbing are my mine concerns.

    Hand throttle keeps dropping

When moving snow, dirt ect. I set the rpms to between 800 to 900. This assist in dumping the bucket and providing more power to the front hydraulics. When it "springs" forward, yes it will actually drops all the way to stall the engine. So the original question was has anyone else had an issue...

    Hand throttle keeps dropping

Hey all, I've combed through the forum and haven't seen much on the issue I'm having with my FLU-419 SEE. At first I thought i kept bumping the hand throttle with my knee. The hand throttle keeps dropping under load, or any vibration really, even vibration from the bucket drops the hand...

Air leak in 4wheel/differential lock switch

So here is the issue. When I move the switch from 2 wheel to 4 wheel or Diff lock, it is leaking air in the switch? Anyone else have this problem? I guess I am pulling the switch out and taking a look. Any advice on pulling the center panel out?

Air leak in 4wheel/differential lock switch

Hello all, So the new SEE has been busy working on the homestead. Pulling tree roots/stumps, digging ditches, etc. Today the switch for the 4 wheel / differential started leaking air. I did a search here but was not able to find anything on this part. So, before I dig into this thing, does...

    History of my new FLU419/SEE

I am familiar with the military numbering of their inventory. Actually spent many yrs working in R60 (equipment yard) while a Seabee. This is the only number painted on the unit. Inside the door, seat pedestal, frame, etc. Just figured U.S. Army may have done it differently than the U.S. Navy...

Soon to be a new FLU419 owner (maybe)

Congratulations on yours as well. So far it just seems to be the swing rams need new seals, but PO included them with SEE. I had it dropped abut 25 miles from the house and drove it the rest of the way in. Averaged 50mph, used no noticeable fuel usage at all and the bounce was not to bad...

    History of my new FLU419/SEE

I read someone was keeping a record of our FLU419's. Here is the ownership history of the unit I just picked up. I will say there was a huge difference in what I paid for this Unimog and what the government sold it for, lol Vin #1FG9999992JM451035 *Sold by US government to Iron Planet on July...

Soon to be a new FLU419 owner (maybe)

Well I am now the proud owner of a SEE... Hour meter says 85? With 3200 miles. That seems off, but the unit is very clean with little to no rust on frame and none on cab. Ended up picking it up with a bunch of extras such as filters, hydraulic cylinder seals, ALL the printed manuals, to include...

Soon to be a new FLU419 owner (maybe)

Oh so true.... For a unit with a cab, I am looking more in the 30+ range. We are talking LS or Branson also, not Kobita or New Holland.

The ground in our area is more sandy loan, once you get passed the duff (veg level) which can be a couple a feer deep. Spring breakup is a short period of mud, followed by a quick dry out. So don't believe moving from the place to be much of an issue. Most work will include: * Digging up and...

Soon to be a new FLU419 owner (maybe)

I was thinking along the same lines, When I go back I'm going to pull the hood and check the hour meter. I was thinking hours and lining up would be pretty unusual. As far as price, negotiations is always part of the purchase, lol
