So always, at Highway speeds of 50-60 with high speed gears. I just went and checked with everything off it shows just under 40psi. But a lot of my gages don’t go to zero. Like the fuel tank is full and in off position it’s reads 3/4 full. Both air tank gages go from 120 to about 100 in the off...
OMG, I seriously would mount one on the roof of the cab, if brandishing a weapon wasn’t illegal!
Even though it’s a paint ball, it wouldn’t stop people calling it in.
Haha I was kidding about no one looking at the wheels. And I think what you did is a perfect way at restoring them. Powder then spray bomb. After our 6 months traveling in it full time. When I get home I have a set of aluminum wheels going on.
Good luck finding any to do it for $25-30! 🤣
Just to blast and single stage powder from a company does all of our powder coating we do $150k with them annually and they would still charge me at least $250 per wheel and primer and the price goes up.
Powder is super nice looking especially after sand blasting, taking all the old paint off they look new. But powder coating is notorious for chipping from impact or just when you put the 20 nuts back on the split wheel. Obviously you can’t powder the studs so they’ll rust. And matching the color...
My CTIS has been working great for the past 7 years. I’ve been on the road full time in it and using it regularly. I’ve installed a switch on the CTIS harness so I can turn it on or off. I typically turn it on first thing before driving to get all the tires to 85 cold psi just in case any slow...
Re open this old thread. I’m in a M1078A1 2003, my CTIS has been working without any issues all tires holding air. In the last 7 months I’ve driven over 10,000 miles and this morning I turned the CTIS on and highway light blinks like normal then I can here the valve in the dash start to do its...
No one should be driving this vehicle at 70 to start with!
I’m not wanting this to turn into a discussion of what we shouldn’t be doing, we all take a risk driving these vehicles…..something bad is going to happen at any moment…..it’s a given. Be ready for it drive smart!
I started this thread...
So I have no preconceived ideas on how many miles to expect to get out of a set of tires and was curious what everyone’s real world experience has been with the different tires.
My experience has been with a set of unused 2008 Michelin XZL tires I installed 6 years ago.
I was hoping to get 10k...
I seen a few years back I think it was a wrecker sold on eBay for like $60k, if my memory serves me right it was built for the country of Spain just before the went bankrupt. They didn’t come through with the payment and sold it on EBay.
