    Drop side Vs .....uhh Non-Dropside?

I can vouch for the "almost lost a finger or two". Folks, swapping a bed is intended for more than just soldier "A" and "B". You need several experienced people to help out. BTW, patience before a hurricane is also advised ;) .

    Desert Rat Sighting

Oh yah, I almost forgot. Kenny and I didn't have to use a drop tongue for the trailer at all! Believe it or not the ride height for the trailer is level with the tow bar receiver. Both of us were surprised! However, riding level sure did help in how she handled to. It was interesting to see...

    Desert Rat Sighting

Ken, Maybe I can find some NDCCs that could fit! Perhaps find some for a Jeep and cut them down to size :D ! I'll have some more pics to post sometime today or so. Right now we're starting to cut down the tree trunks and junk behind the trailer. Oh what a mess!

    Desert Rat Sighting

His may look more natural, but mine is more comfortable! I had to hustle back home to get the trailer parked. I'll have pics of the combo tomorrow. The devistation of Katrina and Rita are incredible. It's been months and the wreckage is still impressive! I-10 by Gulfport is still littered...

Pics of the receiver for 'Storm.

Ugg, I have a travel trailer in Florida that I need to get back to Houston. Thus the need for the hitch. Plus we can use the car carrier for some heavy duty hauling as well. I like Desert Mouse too! Cool nickname! Bjorn, The flaps came with the truck when I swapped the bed for the box. I...

Pics of the receiver for 'Storm.

Ok, from Polar Trailer Company here in Houston they tell me they ordered a Hidden Hitch Class 4 receiver hitch for a '74 one ton Chevy. It's a universal hitch with five slotted holes on each side of the tongue. The kit uses three 1/2 inch castle nuts per side. I drilled upside-down after...
