Our four fearless recovery drivers and their M923 trucks have rolled through Cheyenne between 1400 and 1500. They hit the trail west and should be home tonight or tomorrow morning. All four trucks are reported to be running great. I am glad they did not need a parts stop, by the same token, I...
I have plenty of those bed covers, I have an ad here somewhere. Been getting 150 for a low mileage, formerly one owner, never been abused, except maybe on the way to church on Sunday.... includes shipping.
The five tons rolled in yesterday, four brave men on a Mission from Utah. They had some nice looking trucks, one with a gun ring, new in the box bow set and complete tool kit. They loaded up on a few parts, grabbed a few tires, left behind some sweat and blood, then boogied off to the west. I...
You might be correct, however, I have been approached by several well to do guys in their early 40s that know way too much without knowing anything about the multifuels. There must have been an article in some popular rag about how great they would work as a survival machine with their ability...
I drove mine to the old guys table at the local restaurant. When I got home I stripped off some winch cable and sprayed the drum and cable with chain lube. I rolled the cable back on and sprayed the outer layers. I swapped out all three fuel filters and did a level check. No leaks, every thing...
That is one wide trailer.
A M1009 is too light in my opinion for a 2750 pound empty trailer with no brakes. It is like towing a medium sized car around, only the center of gravity is way up there.
We had three out of 65 with the same problem, luck of the draw. We have some nice engines if you are wanting to continue on, come get one! It is definitely a bummer to get a truck with a locked engine, especially when it looks fresh. Do not overlook your oil cooler. Glen
Wow! Thanks!
We have 19 new 105s in and three pretty rough van trailers. The new dose of 900s and the two 820s have been released and should be here next week.
I got to spend some time in the debris with a few fellow SSers today and that was the highlight of my day. After helping with some...
I drove one back and forth to work everyday for a couple of years. It started when faced into the icy cold, unlike my coworkers who had to plug their newer diesels in. You learn to be careful where you park and a few extra steps never hurt me. I covered lots of road miles under 45 mph and just...
We have a 923 on 22.5s in the yard. We took the G177s for a tractor. It will not interchange on the newer stuff, but several of our tractors are running G177 tires on five ton wheels. They are doing a wonderful job, flats are way down. Ours are governed at 68.
Does the pedal return or does the pedal stay towards the floor. Could be as simple as a throttle return spring missing. Along the same lines, is the throttle cable all the way in?
Nope, should slip progressively worse as the gears go up. The engine is pulling a heavier load. It takes less power to drive the wheels in 1st than it does 5th.
Follow the emergency shut off cable to the pump and make sure the lever is forward. Some clown may have pulled it part way or failed to fully reset it. Pushing the cable in will not reset the shut off valve. Just a thought...we had three that were listed as non starting... the fuel was shut off...
Is the fuel old or brown? I have a few 923s that have some rotten fuel in them. It burns, but will barely pull my deuce around. Normally I have loads of power in old Sandy, but not on that stuff.
The original 105 landing gear is heavy. You may be way short on tongue weight. Load something relatively heavy in the nose and see if it helps. I know if I set a chemical tote full of fuel too far back in my 105, it rattles the hitch constantly. Thankfully it stays within a half mile of the...
We usually charge 3.50 a loaded mile plus a hook up or loading fee.
The odds of catching one of our trucks nearby when needed are pretty slim. Lots of opportunities home from Dallas, pueblo, Denver...
I picked up a vehicle for the PD...

I also bought my first M1009 there, great truck, great trip, Mike was wonderful to work with...
