Just so you know, I won't start on the restoration at least until the weather gets better over here. Plus, with economy what it is, money's tight so I may not be able to afford it for a while now. Don't expect it anytime soon. My dad doesn't turn 60 for a year and a half. Had to plan early.

It leaks anti freeze. It barely runs. I haven't really messed around with it too much to find out more. What I've said is what I know. What I do know is that I can take it down to Denver and have it rebuilt for less than $1000. That would be the cheap option.

Yeah, well you've only seen the front end. The interior is crap, the paint is crap, there's no cover, the engine's in terrible shape... I could go on for a while. It needs monumental amounts of work.

Yeah I figured out it was an M135. Just had to figure out the difference between that and the M35.

Well, I've got a 1951 military truck. I'm trying figure out if it's an M35 or M135. I have books saying it's an M135, but they were printed much later than 1951 so they're not exactly reliable. I'm just looking for some key differences that I can look at to determine, for sure, which it is...

Considering it is even moderately rare, I want to keep it original. My brother has a 1939 Studebaker Champion with SUICIDE DOORS. Those are very hard to find and his is 99% original. Now that I know this truck isn't very common, I'll just have the engine rebuilt, restore the interior, get it...

Well I just found out the truck has air assisted brakes, so that should solve the problem of stopping at high speeds....
