    Transmission problems after rebuild

"The rebuilder said he found broken springs in the OD section and worn out bands and clutchs through out. He told me though that the TC was fine and did not need replaced. So he fixed everything and put the tranny back in and added an external cooler and bypassed the factory cooler."...

    killing my batteries

Is that what that meant? He is taking it to the yard. No user "k" here. -> O.P. : Can you correct that message, re-send and stand by? In the meantime, use a digital meter if you have one, and with the truck having run for 10 min. or so, check the 14V at the batteries with: 1. lights off 2...

    5Ton VSS the hot gun

The allison would, outside of aircraft use, have been better used to build a custom loooong nosed roadster or truck, where it could live on for decades. Sadly those tractor pulls end up destroying otherwise good engines. I am sad to see the 5T front unceremoniously flipped over ruining the...

    W/W bumper extensions for a W/OW truck?

I like the idea. It would also help protect the bottom of the radiator. don't block too much air from the radiator with the toolbox though. A build called Diabolo put diamondplate in the gaps between the bumper ends and the fenders I think.

    Pimp my deuce!!!

I'd ditch what is not functional. first the nose ring, then the bull horns (unless they cleverly are air horns and/or shoot flames out) and then the fake intake. The color scheme is OK and the paint looks well done but red is not my color.

    No one's m35a3

The A3 is hard to get and pretty rare. I would not bob it, but would have rebuilt and bobbed an A2. However, your truck and $$ to spend. Keep the pics coming, make it special, really special, if you do bob it, so it is not just another bobbed deuce, considering it is the A3. For an doing that...

    1400x20s on M813

I've got Goodyear 16.00x20's and the steering is very touchy, and bumps make the truck change direction a little. The advice was to check the caster. I have not done this yet, too dang hot.. In my case it will have to be done at a shop as I don';t have the big tools necessary to mess with this...

    Recovery disaster - Long

I'm glad it's running. I guess it's been debugged at this time. Alternate replacement engines that fit that truck cost more than the truck.

    Amateur Radio

That is a fine start. If you can get past the idea of never standing all the way up, an S-250 is low enough to easily stow or mount the mast/tower to its roof. If you can lay it on the top, hinged in place with reinforcing plates to spread the load, then it could be stood up (& cranked up?) for...

JBweld.. For 6M, you ought to be able to turn the knob to select the best match. It still might not be very good.
