here we go again, again. A2's have some issues, lacking power, tires, power steering. The A3 also has issues, low top speed, CTIS, tires (flat spots). Both share problems, leaks in cab, (not sealed well) both have good heaters but leaks keep it from getting warm on cold days. Soon we will be...

that's a good idea on the CTIS, however i want to take out valves and weigh each cover,nut,etc and match that on the counter weight. Ive got some really bad bounce on some of them and think that's a good place to start.

good post, im planning on doing the same thing. Thats after i disconnect the CTIS. Call me lame but i plan on leaving the rock guards in place and "shaving" the counter weight to equal the guard.

i hate to see an A3 cut up but its your truck to do what you please. I'm glad you have help. I started a bobber project only to realize i was way over my head and hired a guy to do most of the "heavy lifting"

look at C&C crew cab truck, its an A2 but still basically the same project.

I also vote to sell the A2 and get an A3, and you will have air assist steering as well.

Flat towed bobbed deuce with the A3 today, first time i really put it to the test, the hills it slowed down more that i thought but still did good. Stopped for a safety check half way on the 40 mile trip, didn't notice this tire till i got home. :shock:
