M1028 replacement rear leaf springs ???

No problem! [thumbzup] Yeah, the pictures you see on RockAuto, Amazon, etc....are not always a pic of the actual part...(I hate when they do that!!) The 22-617HD's are a 9-leaf + 1 overload. If you look at my pic, you can see that there is a band right next to the tape measure that goes...

M1028 replacement rear leaf springs ???

This one got me curious since I have an M1028 also. I found this on RockAuto's website. The 3955lb springs have a 4-1/16" pack thickness... ...and the 4650lb springs have a 4-5/8" pack thickness. After discovering this info, I ventured down to the garage (since my M1028 is in hibernation...

    Help with mystery wire identification

I remember reading up on this before. Check out this thread: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/which-lmc-printed-circuit-for-gauges.199401/ It appears that the printed curcuit for the idiot-light style is the same for the CUCV's. Here's a link to the one you want...

Seems like this is turning into a build thread.

Hmm...sounds like they were taken oversize. Well...maybe you could get a little creative and use some GM hood bumpers like these... Just an idea I thought I throw out there. Just stick them in the hole and bolt it from the other side. Jegs has them here... Hood Adjusters

Seems like this is turning into a build thread.

I think the door stops you got were correct, but I'm thinking that your holes are too big. 16.3mm is just over 5/8".....Is it possible someone drilled them larger at some point in the past? I popped some new one's in my truck this past summer and don't remember the holes being that big.

    Help with mystery wire identification

The wording is just a description of the left tail light assembly. TAIL, STOP, DIRectional SIDE MarKeR, & BackUp, Left. They don't correspond to the bulbs as shown. But if they were, the correct description from the top down would be: BackUp Light Tail-Stop (& Turn) Light Side Marker Light...

    Help with mystery wire identification

The 194 (or 169) bulb is your side marker. Wires are brown & black. The 1156 bulb (Single filament) is your reverse light. Wires are light green & black. The 1157 bulb (Dual filament) is your Stop, Tail, & Turn signal light. Wires are Brown, Black & Yellow.

    CUCV of a different color...

Thanks, IdahoJoe...that is interesting. I wonder if there are any other survivors ot there? According to my tailgate/bumper markings, I believe this one was from JBLM's Directorate of Logistics Installation Maintenance Division (DOL-IMD) Class IX (CL-IX)....whatever that means. I was...

    CUCV of a different color...

I know what you mean. I wouldn't have believed that the army would do a custom paint job like this either. But what I can't explain is this YouTube video... A while back, and with some dumb luck, I found this video of my truck when it was auctioned off by GovLiquidation.com way back in...

    CUCV of a different color...

I picked up the M1031 oh...probably 20 years ago at an equipment auction for $275. It was complete, minus the engine. Later on, a buddy of mine swapped a gas engine into his M1008, so I ended up with his 6.2 and installed it into my M1031. It has the generator and air compressor in the...

    CUCV of a different color...

First of all...Howdy! First time post for me, but I've been lurking about the forum for some time now. I bought this M1028 back in April last year. Spotted it it on craigslist...went to check it out...next thing I know, I'm driving it home. Anyway, it's is super-clean, rust free AND...
