Factory LS exhaust manifolds look like the passenger side is going to cause issues, since the passenger side dumps down and back. On the 6.5 Detroit the passenger side goes straight back. Im curious what others have used, seems like the only thing that comes close to mimicking the passenger side...
Trying to find a nice motor mount setup to stick the LQ9 into my m1123. What’s out there? Looks like Mountain Machine makes a nice setup but it’s $650. Is there a purpose built mount out there?
All, I acquired an unexpected project vehicle that is a m998 with a 6.0 and 4l80 swap in it. I'm curious what others have done for a lower radiator hose from the water pump to the radiator. I've got a few hoses that are questionable and leaking and just thinking there has to be a better way.
Can someone give me a lesson on Body Lifts for Humvees? Specifically a M1123 model? I'm looking at what's available online and Im gravitating to the steel brackets. I'm just not sure exactly how you deal with the steering column and what else needs to be moved and adjusted.
This is the kit on...
A couple of weeks ago, I purchased an M1101 trailer, and since then, things have escalated a bit. I decided I needed a Humvee as well. My only criteria were that it had to be clean, ideally a troop carrier, and I wanted to keep the initial investment as low as possible. I came close to buying a...
Ive exhausted my keyboard trying to figure this out. Can the factory 4l80 in my Humvee be used with a LS engine, such as a Lq9? Anyone gone this route and used a Holley setup with the gauge pack/screen from Holley? If this is even possible is the stock humvee torque converter ok or does it need...
Looking at scooping this up but have no experience with HMMWV or those without serial numbers or data plates? Anyone bought one missing the data tag? I see a few past auctions with trucks missing the tags. Just feel like the information has got to be on the SF-97?
If anyone has any first hand...
Hey guys, got my first M1101 trailer. Love it!
got to from GovPlanet in Butner NC. $700 won it and out the door it was $980 with SF97. I’m sure a lot of people have gotten better deals, but I’m stoked about it.
Seems like one of the hubs is warm and the other is cool. I suspect the castle nut...
Slow day at work today, figured Id make a post here. Im building a 1967 M715 that was a brush truck for Cleora Fire Department in Oklahoma. In its former life it was owned by the Army in Fort Hood, Texas. The 227th aviation squadron used it as a radio truck. Currently have a 6.4 hemi 8hp70 and...
We're the hood numbers somehow correlated to the vin? I tried to see if I could find my old numbers under the fire department respray -no luck unfortunately.
Looking into swapping a custom front axle into my m715 -I can measure the pinion angle but since these factory axles have CVs I cant find a good number for caster. Can anyone help with this?
Ive always been a big fan of the M715, never had the chance to own one though. Hopefully that will change one day. I was down in Florida and found these two Veterans on craigslist and I had to bring them home. I dropped them off at a friends place and he brewed this up for me. Im proud of how it...
