    1991 M998 6.2 with 6L80E and Auto Transfer Case

WELCOME to the SS forums!! I have moved this to a more appropriate forum. Just to be clear you are talking about a gasser 6.2 not a diesel 6.2L yes? If so the drive shaft mods would be just a drop in the bucket, you will have to deal with hybrid 12-14V systems, exhaust, engine mounts including...

Wait light stays on, crank but no start.

The IP diode shunts reverse EMF to ground, if it is burned in two then it is no longer effective but is also not interfering with the operation of the IP. Not all HMMWV's have this diode (as shown by the dotted lines) so it is not essential for operation.

Transfer case slipping out of gear?

The only seal is on the front of the transfer case, why I said it was normal to have fluid there.

Wait light stays on, crank but no start.

You have already ohm'ed out all the glow plugs yes? would have been one of the first things to do.

Wait light stays on, crank but no start.

Maybe if all the glow plugs were burned out, not the injectors

    Startability test

Have you tried moving the shifter while trying to start it? I do not have that paperwork but I am pretty sure they are talking about the engine side connector on the EESS box, wire 74 goes to that connector pin I

    2000 HMMWV M1123 Project

That would work, you could also pick up that "signal" at the trans relay which would be more convenient as usually the inverter is placed in the battery box. I have seen unused #29 leads (switched 24V) near the trans relay that would be very handy as an "on" signal to the inverter.

    2000 HMMWV M1123 Project

I would not power the inverter off of ether source, if it will not allow remote switching as the Orion will then I would use a relay controlled by ether of your listed sources. There is switched 12V at 290C and switched 24V at 29T at the trans relay, there is possibly extra # 29 wire not being...

    M998 NOT STARTING

There is also a company selling a kit to convert the OEM switch to keyed operation, not cheap but pretty cool, but I don't have that info...

Since the starter was not pulled it is unlikely they got the pan off. It is possible someone just needed some pan screws.

    Directional switch light

The LED must be wired internally in the reverse compared to all other lamps, the body is positive and the tip is negative. To be honest I do not see the big attraction to LED lights, if it were me I would just put an incandescent lamp in there and be done with it, incandescent lamps worked fine...

    Welcome to the SS forums!!

Transfer case slipping out of gear?

You may want to contact Novak conversions as they know more than most folks about transfer cases and sell master rebuild kits.

Transfer case slipping out of gear?

I would assume many of the parts would be the same, the Jeep 242 and the GM 242 (Hummer/Humvee) are close but not identical, the Jeep version has 5 modes where the GM version has 4 (no 2wd) The GM version has larger splined input/output shafts, not sure if that translates to different bearings...

AC help , which TM? Oil from rear evaporator m1165

The only way to correctly do it is to flush the entire system (which should definitely be done if the system was open to atmosphere for any time) then drain and refill the compressor and add the additional amount required by the system. Replacing the drier is a must do just before evacuating the...
