...at the top of lever travel. While this is the desirable outcome, the contradictions to the TM are puzzling, to say the least.
Anyone have any ideas as to what's up? It almost appears that the brake cable is too long, or perhaps the moustachespring is shot.
I'm open to suggestions.
There should be 3 springs(including the moustachespring). Look at figures 88 and 89 in TM 9-2320-361-20P.
Be sure your adjusted correctly and lubed well. I have also seen the cable get sticky right under the handle.
...at night by calling your name out loud, saying "drive me, drive me". Ha Ha
Along those lines, does anyone know where to find a new MoustacheSpring for the parking brake. I have looked on a couple of dealers sites and they have the other tow but don't seem to have this one.
Thanks,
Jim...
The fittings on the vent line should be flare fittings. You should be able to remove the line at the top on the MC cap. The spring is sometimes referred to as a moustachespring, Saturn Surplus should have them, if not try Memphis or White Owl.
You're referring to the "moustache" shaped spring, right? Try Antelope Valley Equipment. I've gotten more than one from them.
