    ...at the top of lever travel. While this is the desirable outcome, the contradictions to the TM are puzzling, to say the least. Anyone have any ideas as to what's up? It almost appears that the brake cable is too long, or perhaps the moustache spring is shot. I'm open to suggestions.

    Great pic LB, that shows both springs. The third spring is called a "moustache" spring. It's at the lower pivot pionts(about 4 o-clock position)

    Parking Brake Sticks

    There should be 3 springs(including the moustache spring). Look at figures 88 and 89 in TM 9-2320-361-20P. Be sure your adjusted correctly and lubed well. I have also seen the cable get sticky right under the handle.

    two brake questions

    The fittings on the vent line should be flare fittings. You should be able to remove the line at the top on the MC cap. The spring is sometimes referred to as a moustache spring, Saturn Surplus should have them, if not try Memphis or White Owl.
