new to deuce question about loading it

Now comes the idea of putting a civy hitch on the deuce IF you buy it. It will take about an hour or perhaps a little longer but if you are gon g to buy it then you will probably want a receiver hitch for it anyway. I purchased a used hitch of a 1 tone Ford Van and had it narrowed and then I...

Curt receiver hitch for the Deuce, 18,000lb/1,800lb

This one is the correct width for the deuce frame. I called Curt Mfg. and told them what I wanted. This hitch is designed for the 34 inch channel frame width the same as an M35. I should only have to drill the holes and bolt it on. I hope. I'll post with how it works out. Bill

Curt receiver hitch for the Deuce, 18,000lb/1,800lb

I found a new heavy duty Curt receiver hitch that should fit the deuce perfectly. I like the fact that it has some drop height so that I won't need a drop hitch adapter as tall as without it. It is Curt part # 15605 and has a gross towing weight rating of 18,000lb, and a tongue weight rating...

    Utah to Southern Arizona

I Finally have my baby here with me! ! ! I moved to Arizona in July of 2007 and had to leave my deuce behind in Utah. My first place here in Arizona was a small trailer in a "Trailer Field", (a trailer park would have been a step up). There was no place to park my baby so it had to stay...

    Curt 14082

Well, my wife informed me on the phone that my hitch has finally arrived (of course, when I'm out of town for work  ). I ordered the Curt 14082 like many others have on here, but I had a question and wanted a few opinions... I know it's a black powdercoat on the hitch, and that it's...

    Deuce Receiver Hitch & Singles

I wanted to add a receiver hitch to the deuce. With a careful search of the past threads here, I settled on ordering a Curt 14082 hitch from J.C.Whitley. I think it was about $150 delivered (in 2 days). The hitch was very easy to install with no modifications needed. The hitch was designed...

    finally added a civilian hitch

Class 4 receiver hitch This one is a Curt 14082 for 1973 - 79 Ford F250 Crew Cab. I got it from JC Whitney (their number 284470). The JCW website gives the same part number for mid-80s Chevy cab and chassis. The price was $158.99, and shipping was free. The hitch is rated 10,000 lb with...
