Thanks Floridianson. I have the boots and the boot ring. Are the drive flange gasket and inner hub seals on the diagram I have posted? I haven't had this apart before so I am not familiar with the parts. But, I would like to have all of them before I start on it.
Is #1 the drive flange gasket?
I went to replace a boot on my M923A2 front axle yesterday and pulled the bottom bolt from the brush guard only to have fluid start pouring out. I assume this means the seal is out. I did not proceed any further since I don't have a jack heavy enough to lift the truck. After a lot of searching...
I had a chance to get out and try the truck out in the new snow we got last night. I got a few pictures while I was out.
I also got my wife to go out with me for a little while. This is the first time since I got the truck. She originally said she would "never ride in that stupid thing". I...
Just post your account number and we will take care of the rest.
If you take 50 sales x the top end of their estimated cost $1500, it is a mear $75k.
I don't know what that means but I will be sure to ask.
I don't really have an update, going back through this thread and calculating how many we have so far, I only come up with 25. Some people said yes they were intersted but didn't say how many so I put that as one. I haven't had time to...
I unscrewed the cap from the metal portion the lines screw into. I did not see where a Schrader valve could be screwed in, there are no threads in the port at the bottom and the Schrader valve doesn't fit in it anyway. So, I pulled the same part off my air compressor that already has a Schrader...
It sounds like we certainly have some interest in this. We are still a little short of 50 but I may try to find some 4x4 sites and see if I can get some interest from anyone on there. Anyone frequent any good sites that might be worthwhile posting this info on?
I searched the TM's last night for hours and never came across the part. This is only the second time I have looked through the TM's and I am sure the part is in there but I sure couldn't find it. It is inside the cab, under the dash slightly right of the center of the truck. It looks like an...
The day of the recovery started out at 4 degrees I believe. By the time we got there it was around 20. The temp is dropping as the week goes on.
I will try that, I have a 24v charger on them now but over night only got me to 50% according to the charger. Maybe separating them would be better.
I contacted ARB about developing a locker that would work in our 5 tons. I got a quick reply from a sales guy named Doug. He said they have looked into it in the past but just didn't feel like there was enough interest. So, I asked him how many they would have to sell to make it a project they...
I won my first auction out of Indy last week, got a nice M923A2. I set up my appointment for 2:00 on Tuesday to pick the truck up. The truck center called at 10:00 that morning and said due to the cold weather, they could not get of the trucks to start. Great! They asked me if I wanted to...
Thanks for the explanation Charger. I would have to agree, the C & C kit may be my best option assuming I can come up with a truck at some point!
For those of you who have the C & C kit, how do you control it? Do you have a hand held remote in the cab?
I am not worried much about the speed it...
I don't know exactly how the PTO works on the 925 so forgive me if this is a dumb question but how does it work and how can it help me with a dump bed conversion? Am I correct to assume the winch runs off of a hydraulic pump that is engaged by one of the levers for the pto in the cab? Can this...
I have been looking at some of the other posts about dump conversions and I think I have looked at C&C but I will check them out again.
I probably won't use the dump that often but I can see where it would be nice to have if I need it. I sometimes have the need to move dirt or rocks and it...
I have been watching auctions for a cargo truck but I can't decide which one would be the best option, the M923 or the M925. My plan is to eventually modify the truck to have a dump bed for light rock, dirt and wood hauling. For those of you who have done this conversion, which model makes this...
Yes, I have been watching GP just to get an idea of what the trucks are going to sell for on there. They don't have any close sites to me either.
I haven't noticed many trucks from MI but WI seems to have some pretty decent looking trucks. Bad thing about those sites are they are too far for...
Is there anyway to tell where upcoming GL auctions are going to be? To be more specific, I am close to Indy, they had several trucks up for auction late this summer but I missed them. I have been waiting for them to list more trucks but they only have one or two here and there and they haven't...
Anyone in the area that could help move a truck to a location with a dock for shipping? If so, what do you charge?
I am looking at some trucks out there but I am in IN so I need to figure out how to get it loaded on a semi trailer. I am not able to preview any of the trucks I am looking at but...
