I worked at a few USPS vehicle maintenance facilites and their newer international box trucks had air start on them. They said it was more reliable. since they went from facility to facility they did not worry about not having air around.

That tape is called splicing tape. you can get it with or with out a liner. You have to stretch it to get the correct insulating properties out of it. the best tape to use on splices is 3M supper 33 to top coat the splicing tape. Supper 33 holds up the best.

yeah the tank and radiator are from his deuce he had a few years ago. his block self ventilated by the #3 piston and rod. The steering box would be a power steering unit. I just was not sure if it was correct what he was talking about.

I have to redo the seals in my front end and starting to shop around for the best price. I am thinking seals, boots, maby bearings, bushings. If i am going through every thing i may as well rebuild with new parts so i know it is in good condition so i wont have to tear in to it for a long time.
