I am glad they were here. I actually had all of it in the back to take up to the property. Thanks for giving me all that. I found a near new pair of shoes to get me mobile right away. I made a pressure bleeder like the one in the stickey up above. Talk about brakes. A nice solid pedal and...
I know it is messy in there. It was not last time I was working on it. I think that worn shoes help cause this. As for who made the shoes, I don't know.
I am cleaning up and replacing everything. I am never going to run brake shoes that low again. Not if this can happen. I never even had...
I had a pretty high pedal before. I know that axle had the most worn shoes. I let some stuff slide a couple years ago when I ran a little slim on money. I think you are right though. Mike set me up with piles of brake parts. Drums, cylinders, shoes, hardware. Thanks Mike. I have what I need...
Pliobond will handle the job just fine. I use it for all kinds of restorations. I shortened my duece cargo cover with it years ago and it is doing better than any other adhesive product I have used. It sticks like crazy to metal, glass and especially fabrics and canvas. It's fuel proof. It's...
I just had a panic stop go awry. I was pulling into a fuel station to get some diesel to haul a load to my new place. A guy darts in front of me early on in my approach and me really not seeing him hit the brakes hard to stop in time. Since there was a now a pick up in my path where there was...
This goes to all PNW guys. Josh if you get in a jam someday and need a tow. I have the duece and towbar. Call day or night for help as long as I get the same leeway. LOL
The 4 finger failed after 2K miles. If you look at them both side by side. There is no reason to ever put the 4 finger back in a truck. Everything is bigger in the three finger. It is also smoother to operate.
I just ran 6 passes on the three finger at the drag strip and it worked great. I...
I am curious about my LDS motor. I just moved it yesterday and am jazzed about putting it in. My question is on the injection pump. Can you turn it up just like the LDT? Or is there anything to be aware of? Does it make more heat than the LDT to start with?
This little Cj was something else. It looks like a ride full of adrenalin. Later in the day he blew his engine all over the track. Lots of oil and nearly an hour to clean up. Things happen fast with a short wheel base like that. No crashes fortunately.
Well I was only able to get so many pictures of the duece. I did get some other rigs. Plus a ton more video's. They load slow. I start one and go to work for a while. I'll put up some more good sounding video's. But here are some more stills.
The red Chev launched in 4x4. He folded his...
Thanks for being so cool about it. My regrets are fewer these days, but I still gotta face it once in awhile. I am glad to cover this.
So, Meanwhile back at the ranch... Lets get back to military truck stuff.
Cheers!
I wait all year and now it's over. LOL I can't wait to go back with the 5 ton LDS motor in. I have such a good baseline for the LDT now. When people ask "what do you do with that?" I have to laugh. Not only can they be a daily driver as Josh demonstrates, but firewood, camping, parades...
I have been wanting to post this video. It was walking between the parade staging line up from front to back. I had to take a nap as it took a while to upload.
I am not impressed by my cameras image stabilization.
I have showed the pictures to quite a few people. Every body wants to go, it's...
