I would not be comfortable installing the cable in front of the reel. Still feel it would be in harms way. Suggestions: 1- Install a longer angle iron so it goes beyond the plastic housing. 2- If you run the angle longer (past the plastic housing) and point the connector up (like my friend...
Looks like I ended up with some Kipper Tool Boxes with tools. 3 different variants. One is complete and new or near new. Said Battery Shop on box. Have a few mode in different stages of completeness. Let me know if any interest. Also have some empty drawers and parts for the kits.
Why don't you Flip the angle the other direction and have the connector behind the winch and pointing towards the drivers side. It will keep the cord of the remote from accidentally getting caught in the winch.
Have you ever seen the purge valve on a MV air dryer? The valve is about the diameter of a quarter. There is not threaded or hose connection available. It just spits out. I was thinking of putting a 2-1/2" or 3" pvc pipe to encircle it and capture the spit when it discharges. I will use a...
Not a good idea since the tank drain valve has a lot of moisture coming from the bottom of the tank. You need to keep the air dryer as dry as possible. I am using the dry air to blow out the air dryer. A dry air dryer is a happy air dryer.
If the air dryer spits too much moisture inside my...
Yes they are 12 to 24 volts. They sell for $10 to $14 each. Can't beat the price. I have them on the 24 volt line. Tapped off the 24 volt bus on the firewall and inline fused. ye I got a bad sleep schedule right now. Need to get back to normal sleep time soon.
Have you tried any of the CIVI LED flood and spot lights available on AMAZON.COM. I have a bunch of the 27 watt spots and they are very bright! On my CUCV they are better than my OEM headlights. My friend Allen put those lights all around his M923 for the same reason you gave. Since they are...
It took a lot of time searching through all the listings on a well known auction site but I got a smokin good deal on a NOS Warn 36,000 lb snatch block. Waiting for it's arrival.
rusty are you sure you got enough lights on the front of that truck? I count 12 lights in the picture. :roll:rofl
I agree. Try new welding cables just to make sure it's not as easy as that. 2nd place would be the rheostats that control the voltage output. Maybe they are warn or corroded. I just thought about it... try a voltage meter at the pos and neg terminals.
Well I ordered the auto tank drain valve the other day. I installed it Friday. I ended up tapping into the DRY discharge air line to feed the auto drain valve by using a T fitting. I rand the output in 1/4" black tubing to the 1/4" port on the air dryer. The port controls the dumping of...
We replaced 2 steering wheels on both M923 trucks and did not have that problem. It was harder to remove the steering wheel then it was to install it. Neither truck had any resistance to raising the steering column so I could install the nut to secure the steering wheel. All that was...
Could not confirm your suggestions. M200 trailers I found use 20" and 22.5" rims. Yes some had a 6 lug pattern. However my rims are 16" 6 lug 1 piece rims. M1101, M1102 and open chassis use 8 lug wheels.
