I'll just stay with the diesel you buy from the gas stations and the additive that the previous owner was using. I am thinking about trying some of the different types of fuel alternatives. ie vegetable oil and the like. I know that's a different topic but wondered what you all thought about...

Thanks all. Don't think I'll do it from all the comments. I'll just keep using Power Service 1080-06 +Cetane Boost Diesel Fuel Supplement Anti-Freezer that the owners of it before was using. 1 oz of it per 3 gallons of fuel.

Hi just reading your post. Glad you made it home OK. I just got my 1986 M1009 2 weeks ago. It runs pretty well but I have lots to learn about them. Took it 4 wheeling and seems like they will almost climb a brick wall lol.
