I used to own a Dodge W200 GSA contract truck. It was similar to an M880 save for the 4sp manual transmission. The "E" was missing from "DODGE" on the leading edge of the hood so I removed all of the letters and re-attached three of the original letters spelling "DOG". That name stuck with that...
Another M37 owner from Va 8). Welcome to the site! Another good source for all things M37 is www.g741.org but you probably already knew that.... What is the DoD on your Dodge?
Matt
They are pretty neat vehicles and for a while, they were a really good deal for someone who wanted a tracked vehicle but didn't have the money for something armored. A friend of mine used to have several on is property and one of his M4 HST's was the first tracked vehicle I ever got to drive...
Here's a link to a thread I started about colors over on www. g741.org g741.org • View topic - Frame, axles, springs & brkt. colors The post that may be of interest in the 6th one down on the 1st page...
Looks like the remains of an M4 high speed tractor. lots of those ended their years as log skidders and such. There isn't much left on that one from the pics maybe a good candidate for a reenactor's VisMod? Not sure what to tell you, where value is concerned. About 10 maybe 15 years ago you...
Think that's where the titles for both my M37 & ferret Mk1/2 came from but I'd have to check my paper work again. Therealsundance looking at your tag line, it appears that you've owned all of the M101 variants at one time or another...
Good point about the title and I'd have to check on that. During a cursory inspection, I noticed peeling paint and weathered wood but no serious rust or rot.

Hey guys
I've found an M101(A1?) trailer that is for sale close by. It appears to be in pretty good shape with a solid bed floor (wood for racks & bows will need replacing) and no serious rust/rot. The tires & rims appear to be 9:00X16 NDTs from an M37. It has the...
That's outstanding! Thanks for posting. Just one question though, how'd he get around the powered front axle that was on the original. If I'm not mistaken the type 166 (&128) were the only 4X4s that VW ever built...

Doesn't the demil order pertain to anything tracked, including M548s? 'Thought it did.
As for reassembling an AFV after demil that might be easier said then done. Aside from requiring the vehicle to be cut in such a way as to remove a specified...
When I started getting emails about this thread becoming active again I went back and reread the first post. Reading it reminded me of all those stories I either read or heard from the Vets themselves of B17s absorbing major damage and managing to stay aloft long enough to bring their crews home...

After I posted on here, I did a search and I believe you are correct. They listed quite a few locations and the one in Q-town proper is still there. Last time I was at that store ( few years ago), it looked like they were getting ready to call it a day...
Welcome to the site (if no one has already greeted you ) Taking the bed off an M37 isn't really that difficult (I've done it). Mostly you're removing the six (or more?) mounting bolts in the bed floor, unbolting the gas tank filler neck as it is attached to both the tank & bed. With the...
Interesting you brought that up as the original trucks used by the LRDG were commercially available Fords & Chevies. 2 wheel drive & all (no armor). They relied on speed & firpower for protection.
