MM, Where did you find your set, and how much were they?
I see there has been some confusion since I posted the picture- it's not actually my truck, but I do like it a lot! [:)] It's Hot Rod Deuce that did all the mods, including the bogie arms and custom wheels. You'll have to refer...
very true, easy to get but a PITA_ expensive and requires constant renewal, physicals, testing etc. To the average owner I don't think it's worth it. Just as long as potential buyers keep it in mind :yeah:
Hot Rod Deuce made them out of DOM tubing after pressing the bushings out of the deuce ones. I'd think you could use a 5 ton bogie arm and spring combo, that is if the springs are not wider than the deuce, and will fit in the locating tabs on the rockwells? Am I mistaken?
that's one option, but not necessary. As M1075 stated, there are three much easier routes. The max tire size for stock deuce rims is 12", as stamped right on the rim. 12.00-20's are also the max standard tire height you can run on the stock deuce, so you have no worries about finding a larger...
in regards to this wheel in the M36 auction:
I see it's not your typical wheel. What's the story? Are all riveted wheels like that? I've seen a 10 ton tractor with wheels very similar to that (smaller, circular holes versus off-ovals), but obviously larger with a different bolt...
that is definitely true- I mean, $300 and it will probably just go bad again (I know, I know, drive it and adjust it correctly and it won't break, but come on, who here REALLY starts in first gear every time :)
can't check any out for you, sorry, but please remember unless you have a CDL you'll want to stay away from anything larger than the 2.5 ton. Wouldn't want to get caught driving a 26k +lb GVW vehicle without a CDL, probably some pretty stiff penalties
you got your hands full, that's for sure. I was deadset on Forest green, but after seeing Fred's M37 radio truck friday I'm going Olive Semi Gloss, 24087. I had a sample can from Aervoe, cleaned up my wheels and sprayed. Looks great! For my daily driver a simple spraybomb is fine for me. No...
yama-hama! Maybe I am confused as to what the sprague actually looks like, but aren't they just the two little colar looking bands that have a bunch of "teeth" on them, about 3" diameter or so? I found the add, it just lists "sprague"- you think that's only for one of them, or am I confused as...
hmmm.... mine never pops but I definitely have leaks out of the air takeoffs for the brakes. Very poor seals there. I get about 20 min too, but she always runs at 120 so I don't care :)
I wouldn't suggest it. Reason being, and I don't want to sound like a nagging mother, but they are relatively affordable as is so if a loan is needed it is a good indication that a deuce isn't the number one priority. Also, getting a loan on a vehicle LIKE the deuce is a bad idea, because of...

hey Kenny, can't tell much from the pics but is this bed anything you need for your pipeline truck?
if that doesn't fit the bill, here's another cheap truck, just needs a little work to...
Well, I have come to the conclusion that 4 wheel drive is just about worthless. Driving through mud pits and up snow piles is all well and good if you have the momentum, but sometimes I don't. Not to mention the suspension doesn't articulate and about halfway up a pile I lose my middle axle...
