You may not want to keep it but trucks in as bad or worse condition have gone for more on GL. Do the paperwork to process the EUC and by the time you have to take possession it will be taken care of. I'd like a complete cab but it's too far away.
My truck has troop seats but no folding legs. Can someone measure theirs up so I can fab some? I really only need the distance from the hinge pin (bolt) to the end that goes in the bed corner. Thanx.
I guess I wasn't real clear. I don't want to drop an axle off the existing suspension and make it work like that. If I convert my deuce to a 4x4 and hang the rear most axle in the same location using a front leaf setup will those springs give me a fair amount of travel? I know this will...
How do deuces converted to a 4X4 configuration do offroad? I'm considering dropping an axle but I wouldn't bob it. Looking at the original rear design the axles can oscillate all over the place. If you run a front spring setup in the rear won't it force the frame to twist more or bottom a...
Your first link doesn't show much. You may want to post a pic if you have it.
On the truck. I'd look at 5 ton expando vans too. A couple just sold on GL for $5 to $8K.
Small arms fire won't do much. RPG would leave a mark. When I hauled gas people would always ask me if I was worried about blowing up. Working at night and having to stand in a gas station parking lot, many times on a street corner. I told them I had a better chance of getting hit in a drive...
Re: RE: Re: Ever Seen a crew cab M35 on 16.00 20
At least take some close up shots of the cab or how much beer would it take for me to road trip to Waseca to look at your work? I won't get to mine until next summer but I can start planning and gathering now!!!
We had a hooch built on ours, 8' x 12' x 7'. We used our other trailers a couple times to haul logs. Converting it to a dump trailer would be slick but other than that give me a std flat bed equipment hauler. If you ran tall tires you could put 9x20's or 11x20's for added height.
RE: Re: RE: Re: MV Insurance in NJ .... grrrrrrr!!!!
A quick update since we ae talking about DMV stuff. I had every intention of having my M35 inspected by my State Trooper neighbor to get the SF97. I decided to ask the MN DMV first. With one quick phone call to the central office by the...
OK, I've checked the lube order and other manuals and haven't found the exact answer. On the driver's side there are three plugs, top, 1/3 from bottom, and bottom. Obviously the bottom is the drain. I assumed the top was fill and the side was the full enough plug. When I pulled my side plug...
Your truck is too new. I just went with Continental Western but it has to be 30 years or older. Couldn't beat $83.00 per year including the ability to drive it to work etc. No restrictions except no hauling.
I drove on a time or two. I loved the 16 speed Cat tranny. Once you got the hang of it you could really blast through the gears. I like the singles on the pic.
My passanger glass is busted. I got the frame off the truck and it looks like the top hinge should pop off to get to the glass. It doesn't want to move and I'm afraid of messing up the frame. Am I on the right track?
I think my leak maybe coolant. Something I need to investigate further. I agree with your comment. There is no such thing as a nonleaking MV especially oil or gear lube.
