Have you checked your hub locking rings? If not that would be a priority.
70-75 mph and having a tire leave the vehicle is a problem.
Blue Hummer locking ring. It’s a better design than the locking ring. It has more than two tiny tabs locking the wheel to the hub.

This is a bit of a separate issue but one that needs to be addressed. In your quest for more speed make sure you check your hubs. I would without a doubt install the blue hummer setup on all the hubs if I wanted to go fast.
Also check the date code on your tires and make sure you have good...
I would check that. I don’t think that there is a gear reduction for a hmmwv and I am pretty sure the mount is completely different. I haven’t done a starter in a Cucv in quite a few years but I think I am right on this one.

I know Michael Vaiden at Blackdog Customs has some new and takeout starters.
If it were me I would find a starter / alternator shop and have it rebuilt. It would be much less expensive. Make sure that you remind them a few times it 24 volt. That’s not a normal thing for most shops.

If you are on Facebook, the Hmmwv owners group has a guy that sells a drop in kit for the 700r4 and the 218 or the 242.

Advanced adaptors makes anything you need to go from the 700r to just about any transfer case on the planet. They would be very helpful

You will not find much info on a C pillar toll bar because to do it right it will cost almost as much as the truck itself.
It will have to be tied to the B pillar which is Aluminum so that will have to be re-fabbed out of Steel so you can tie in DOM tubing. Then you will have to build a C...
If you go through the trouble of putting on a spin on filter setup, why wouldn’t you move it to a place that makes it easier to get to? That’s just slightly less difficult than the factory setup.

Really the idle down is for turbo diesels to allow the oil to circulate through the turbo to cool it off and not cook the oil that’s in the turbo housing.
It’s hard for me to not warm up or cool down a diesel because it’s been ingrained in me, but there is just to much info that says it will...
If you like your kids don’t put them in a center rear seat. This is not the same truck as an H1. This is a serious safety issue. That leaves them with absolutely zero rollover protection. There are beer cans made better than the C pillar on these trucks.

He is right. With no way to disconnect the hubs you will still be turning all the same running gear no matter what you do with the transfer case.

Anyone going the DFW area and headed back ease anytime soon? I need a M1102 cover and bows brought back to MS or LA.
Any help would be appreciated

Put a grounding harness on it and/or clean all of the grounds very well. That fixed my charging issues on my first truck.

I live in the sticks in Mississippi so if I need an oddball filter it will always involve a brown truck and the interwebs. I switched to the spin on oil filter and the modern fuel filters out of necessity.
All of those filters are available at any parts house around here and They are cheap...
Finally got around to testing set 2. It’s the mobile unit.MEP-003. I ran it on various loads for 5 hours and it tested out great.
I hope we don’t have any real winter weather here in the Deep South but just in case I want to be ready. Things get retarded around her in an ice storm.

It’s a sad day for sure. Cowden and Pecos Bill were the real deal. He was one to put his money where his mouth was when it came to vets.
