    FLU419 repair 4*4 locker switch

Evening folks... My FLU419 came with a stuck 4*4 /locker switch... Pulled the knob of and put some oil on top but it was to no avail. So I removed the switch and tapped the roll pin out.. There was a lot of gunk in the mechanism and I took the whole thing apart. You can see in the detail...

FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

Cleaned it all of but no luck. The internal diameter is smaller at the side where the handle is clamped onto the tube. Took a 3/4" reamer and that fitted inside the tube upto the last 1".. After the cutting the 19MM shaft ran smooth in the 3/4" reamed hole. Put the whole thing back together and...

FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

Thank you... I disconnected the loader lever from the hydraulics to see what is sticking. The central shaft is more or less stuck inside the outer bushing making both levers more or less connected.. Took a while to get the central shaft out.. Fortunately the driver seat goes far enough to the...

FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

Thank you, yes Rookie here, there were reasons but probably not good enough for this amount of stress. I have a two post car lift hanging from the bucket. To clear something in the barn I had to lift it high up. Also, before I ' fixed" the 4wd I could not get out of the barn because the rear...

FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

Yeah. Possible. Just hoping someone had figured out a bimba replacement part number. The original seems aluminum.. Stainless would have been nicer. Today mogli lifted a leg to pee... I almost dirties my undies..going down the hill with a load in the front.

    Slow oil pressure 406 / 419

Started mine yesterday after 10 months... pressurized the system with the hand pump . Oil level was 3 fingers high on the dipstick above max. I was worried that coolant had leaked in the oil but the coolant level was normal. started with first turn. About 30 sec before pressure registered...

    Cooling vest Med-Eng Air warrior

Thanks Chris, yes I noticed them but as I mentioned more in parts then a whole "new" vest with connector. No clue why they would want $2000 for an ice cooler and some tubing in a T shirt. The connector on the med-eng air arrior vest has the in and outlet combined and disconnect with one push...

    Cooling vest Med-Eng Air warrior

I was in need of low energy consumption body cooling. Found this Med Eng Air warrior vest on fleabay. about $ 30 Used in all kind of hot military equipment A complete 24 Volt cooling unit is very expensive but small water chillers or ice boxes with pump are cheap. The main issue was the quick...

    Mercedes Gelande GD240 W460 1986 Danish Army

Has been a while, Suddenly got the bug even though it is cold outside but I really wanted to drive the 240GD and so needed at least the rear light fixed. I am no welder but it is good to try and gain some experience. Decided to save the fuel filler panel and repair / reinforce. Also wanted to...

    FLU 419 low power

That is true but it is also nice to have an electrical switch on your dash. Easy enough to separate the front and rear. The most difficult part was it not being accessible unless you tilted the cab but at least for our flu that is now resolved by taking the cover off.

    FLU 419 low power

Thank you all for the reply. The track bars are straight, not even touched it seems. Did not check the throttle linkage but will do. Interesting about that crimp. have not noticed but did not know about it either. Was thinking about modifying the 4x4 from air actuated into mechanical but now...

    FLU 419 low power

The times I took Mogli out on the road it felt that it was kind of low on power going uphill. While i took the diagnostic harness out I noticed this...... The exhaust is pretty flat. Looks like a couple of forklift forks were in the wrong place. Not sure why there is no flex pipe somewhere in...

FLU419 Mogli's frivolous use of gov equipment.

For our solar collector house heating I needed a storage tank. Our local raw milk farmer was getting rid of his 1000 gallon tank. It has foam insulation . Was not sure if Mogli was up to the task....a little rough being by myself but the third cord kept it balanced.

    AcuTemp Refrigerator

That is the same as the Danfoss BD35F compressor, Same compressor as used in 12 volt fridges as engel, norcold. The three phase permanent magnet design of these motors is more efficient then the normal 120VAC split phase or capacitor motors. That helps twofold that the unit uses less electricity...

FLU 419 Access panel to 4x4, lock, intermediate cylinders.

Hi Karl, yes, I will post some pictures in a different thread. Today worked a little more on exploring the 4x4 air cylinder, pretty easy now the cover is off. Indeed mine got stuck, assume rust, hope that the locking cylinder are good. Will find out later. Took the 4x4 air cylinder of on...
