That is true but it is also nice to have an electrical switch on your dash. Easy enough to separate the front and rear. The most difficult part was it not being accessible unless you tilted the cab but at least for our flu that is now resolved by taking the cover off.

That is the same as the Danfoss BD35F compressor, Same compressor as used in 12 volt fridges as engel, norcold. The three phase permanent magnet design of these motors is more efficient then the normal 120VAC split phase or capacitor motors. That helps twofold that the unit uses less electricity...
